It would be awesome if you would draw the characters from the series if Beth Crowley or another singer wrote a song about the book series, and make it seen like a movie. Just like this awesome video.
I love how you did not include Cassian and their romance. You just let the girl be by herself and made it abojt her. It's lovely to see that ypu saw Nesta's emotions and arc more important than the man.

Adding that romance to the story disappointed me, and establishing the third pairing made me drop the author at the end of this book. The story could have been much more interesting if it didn't try to stay bound to the genre of earlier books. Imagine if it focused on the trauma and the weird flashes of power instead, unpredictable but with the character trying to exploit them.
This is gorgeous.

That gave me chills, it was so beautiful and so perfect for Nesta's character in ACOSF. Another amazing piece that will be going on all of my playlists!! The chorus is my favorite part, it's so haunting and breathtaking. Amazing work!! and the art is SOOOO pretty too!!

This song makes me think of how difficult is is for people to flee from their anxieties, depression, PTSDs, etc... I can understand how hard it is for those people to escape those mental blockages.

Climbing out of the hells our abusers did to us is meet with a cold look of "you should be over this by now" from society. We are told healing takes time, day by day, though we are always given less time to truly heal within society that's always moving forward. We will heal. We just need proper support, if we can find it, whatever it may be.
I agree. That's my first thought -- PTSD and trauma from narcissistic abuse. It's very real. No one deserves this.
@@lora7418 I unfortunately endured 8 years of it. Even though it's been over 10 years since, I still have troubles at times. I just found out I have Adhd. Sad, instead of helping, they used it against me. I have a alright support group. I'm just grateful the beautiful people who have helped and gave me time to heal. Might never be fully, though with each breath I will my hearts wishes out and sometimes the universe answers. It's recognizing those answers, whatever it might be, that is somewhat tricky still.

I think it's safe to say that after reading ACOSF, I've fallen in love with Nesta. Throughout the series I didn't like her, I thought she was a major bitch. But after really seeing her piece, I understand how she feels and she isn't really the monster everyone thinks she is.

She really needed Cassian. He could handle everything. He saw the fighter in her when no one else could.
I still don't like her, I don't think she's a monster, just that her struggling and trauma isn't an excuse or reason for her villainizing and belittling everyone else

What interests me is why you wrote "and replaced with something worthless". Does Nesta think her Fae side is worthless? Since it came from a traumatic event?
I hated the ending. I liked the idea, that Nesta is more powerful than anyone else. But nooo...it appears that the original main characters (Freyre and Rys) have to be the most powerful😭

I've been waiting for this song since you hinted about it in one of your videos! This is absolutely perfect, and it describes Nesta and her trauma really well. She was thrown in to a horrible situation, and she couldn't figure out how to deal with it. She never asked for it.

This song actually matches one of my own characters. She’s a wolf called Asrani who was cruelly traumatised by her own best friend who almost killed her when he wanted to be Beta of their pack. She survived but became selectively mute due to the trauma. Her ex-friend planned to exile her after their pack turned on her and made her feel worthless but she left before he could and became a loner, where she quickly learned that it was either kill or be killed. She earned a reputation of being a merciless serial killer known as the “Shadow Bandit”. Later on, when she has found family in her new friends, they find out about her old reputation and they are shocked. Getting defensive, Asrani gives them the cold shoulder for a while until her mate, Faith (yes, she’s a lesbian), talks to her and Asrani says “They seem to forget I never asked for this. I didn’t have a choice.” All I can see when I hear this song, is my character.
That actually sounds really cool plus it's gay, that's always a bonus

So many people are saying how Silver Flames made them fall in love with Nesta's character after hating her in all the other books but I can't understand why it's taken you all so long to finally understand and like her character. Now don't come at me saying well she sent her little sister out into the woods alone. listen I get it but what was Nesta supposed to do, go out herself? I understand she's the older sister but age doesn't flipping matter, all Nesta knew was the better life and I knew this isn't an excuse but why aren't we also having a go at Elain for the exact same thing, it's not like she did anything. Nesta was an interesting character right from the very start, I know she's not the "amazing" Feyre but if anything she was better, she had more sense of depth then Feyre did throughout the series, don't get me wrong I love Feyre I'm just looking at it from an English analysis point of view, yes she came across as cold and b**chy but loads of you are saying how people who struggle mentally use this persona as a protection, it's the same for Nesta.
This song is so beautiful, I just love the overall mood which the animation captured PERFECTLY! Such an awesome collaboration deserves all the love, just a big compliment to both of you. I hope to see more of this combination in the future ❤

Nesta is a polarizing figure for a lot of people. Even the people the dislike have a hard time putting a finger on WHT other than "she's a bitch" but I think the title of this, I Didn't Adk For This" is why; she didn't ask for this but neither did feyre or Elain and that never stopped her for blaming feyre anyway or sympathizing or even trying to understand feyre. She at times acted like this happened to just her - not all three of them, and that's hard for a lot of people to take. I think people just react to the same traumas differently and need their own time

Seriously this song blows me away bc it fits my dnd character PERFECTLY. I can attach every single line to something in her backstory, her present, or my plans for her. She's a cleric of the Silver Flame so the fact that this character's flame is ALSO SILVER?? Wild. Just. Outstanding.

Oh my goodness, I hardly had to listen to it once before adding it to my playlist of my absolute favorite songs.
The song was absolutely beautiful, so emotional and, well, real. It was an amazing portrayal of how people who have been through traumatic events can fall deeper and deeper into a hole that nobody else can see. And the animation - simply amazing! Beth and Erlance, you’re both incredible.
My favorite line was “When part of me was ripped away, and replaced with something worthless.” I thought this was one of the really raw moments of the song, where we get a true glimpse behind a cold, mean exterior to an insecure girl who thinks that she is a monster.
I’ve never read this series, but now, i really want to!

I've never read any of the acotar books so feel free to correct me but the line 'I didn't ask for this' sounds like a protest/complaint, like her objecting to being part of whatever is going on, something that's mostly born out of her tough exterior. But it also sounds like an indirect apology, like things turned out to be a lot worse than she had meant for them to be and she wishes to not be blamed for it.
Ngl I Hated Nesta and this book was very hard to read for me, i didn't finish it.But this animation video makes me want to try again.
