"You were just his practice run" was a hitting blow..."your dress may be flashier, but mine will end up on his floor" was a tactile aimed missile, at least to whomever it is the lyrics are talking to. God I need to read this series now just because of that one line.
I just love how you're able to make songs about books that the readers really recognize, but you don't spoiler anything for the people who still have it on their reading list. And doing all of that with the voice of a devilish angel. You're amazing 💜

I just remembered that he taught them both to fight, so when they fought, they knew most of each other’s moves. I didn’t like that she felt insecure and that she had to prove herself. It was pretty clear who Xaden chose - and even then, he would’ve had to gain her trust and attention, not her having to fight his ex for him.
