Love your videos. I've watched you for about a year now and am trying to figure out my own journey to being 100% plant based. I started eating two meals per day but have not started exercising as yet. Not sure what I'm doing but you inspire me. Thanks and keep the videos coming!

Thanks so much Nancy! Congrats on getting going on your plant-based journey. Two plant-based meals per day is a wonderful start. 🙌 All the best on your journey to being 100% plant-based! 🥳

Having been on 3 rounds of prednisone since hurricane Ian due to bronchitis and covid, I gained 15 pounds that I am having the hardest time taking off again. I have never had such a difficult time. Nobody else in my life cares so I have no issue there. But my clothes don't fit and I don't want to buy more. It's a struggle trying to figure it out. Great video!

Ooh, I've been there with the prednisone. That's a tough one for sure. Be patient and be kind to yourself while you make progress towards releasing the weight again. I understand not wanting to buy more clothing, but it might be a good idea to get a few items that you'll be more comfortable wearing for now. ❤️

@@PlantFitMeg thanks. I just feel like a bloated blob. I'm almost 68 and don't particularly care how I look (I mean, I want to look decent but size itself doesn't matter too much) but I feel bad and that is very uncomfortable

I add a lot (and I mean a LOT) of crushed garlic (oil-free) to every cooked dish I make and yesterday I happened to read the number of calories on the packet and I was shocked! Garlic (and onions, which I also add in great quantity to everything) are not calorie-free. I have been adding about 100 cals to my meals every day by mindlessly adding a lot of garlic to salads, soups, sauteed veggies and mushrooms, etc. and wondering why I can't lose the last few lbs. From now on it's a couple of cloves a day only. I also compared photos of my salads from 2 years ago to those I make now and I have increased the amount of higher calorie starchy veggies, again adding 100-200 cals to each salad without realising it, so I'll have to watch my portions from now on as I have been stuffing myself a bit too much on healthy food.

Wow! That's a lot of garlic! Thanks for sharing your experience. I guess it just goes to show that calories add up whether we're actively tracking them or not. It's easy to think of many foods as so low in caloric density that they have no effect, but calories add up from all of our food sources. Continue to enjoy your healthy meals, and make sure you eat enough to fuel your activities. 🙂
