As an Englishman thanking the Lord that I come from the country with three Saints' crosses on its flag, I agree with you! But the "gem", carried by the Scots in this case, is from beyond their country, or the UK ... it is from Paradise. Thanks be to the art-inspiring Holy Spirit! Oh i'm Korean and i lived in the UK for two years. And i have been to lots of countries. You know, Edinburgh is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. And also Scottish are the kindest people i have met
I have never seen this movie. I am not from Scotland and have never been there. This is the only Proclaimers song I know. WHY DO I GET EMOTIONAL EVERY TIME I WATCH THIS?! WHAT KIND OF POWER DOES THIS SONG HAVE?!
It's music like this that makes me proud to be Scottish!!! Hope everyone who see this and reads this you are amazing kind and just brilliant in genral, have a great day morning afternoon night! x
It is Edinburgh it is set in and yes Scotland is a amazing place to live In the weather is crap but it is worth it in the summer I live in Glasgow which is about 1 hour and a half away from Where this is set

I know exactly where this is filmed. In fact I visited it today, and a week ago, and maybe a few days before that. And I know some people in the dancing scene!!!! It's so cool to see places and people I know in this film!!! I can relate to all the places, and that's what makes it so good for me. Thank you to all the actors, dir choral and any other people who created this masterpiece for making me smile every time I see it. :)
It's a marching song, it's a rallying song, it's easy to sing, so anyone can join in & do their thing. (You can imagine Sir Colin's Highlanders marching and singing army slang to this a few years ago) To me, it's about commitment, to others, they will have their own interpretation, and that's what makes the song so good.
I pulled up The Proclaimers last night, jammed through 7 performances plus Imagine Dragons rendition in T-park. Whilst I slept, that yt algeerithm churned and churned, now dropping me here. This is a totally different song slowed down, and the Army squad shots had me crying like a baby. Now I learn it's from a movie? Wait, the title is same as the Proclaimers Album name? Whoosh - now on a search. You've made my saturday, silly Irish Boy. Thank you!
What makes this hole scene even better is that most people dancing at the end were just random persons looking what they were filming and they got invited to participate! 😉
There was a lass standing on a trestle above the people and she went through the dance steps in the back ground showing the crowd how to do it . no practice i hear they did .
The first time I listen to this song is on the video of James Corden and Niall Horan, and i already love the beat of the song and of course the message of the song about loving a person whatever happened.
Same all of my friends think I'm weird for liking them and their music cause there not like Justin bieber or one direction but I don't care I love Craig and Charlie Reid!!!!!
I was actually looking at Dexter Fletchers work because of Rocketman and I really liked what I seen of the clips and now this just pops in my recommendations so I guess I have to watch this for Dexter and George
This has to be one of the most "undiscovered" and under-appreciated movies of all time!
The fact it’s directed by Dexter Fletcher, same guy who directed Eddie the Eagle and Rocketman, makes it even better!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh my gosh. I had no idea it's a film! 😁😁

Scottish and Irish music are so good, I mean they're almost always filled with joy and they're jittery and it gives you a good feeling.

Check out "Pride" he plays Bromley...George Mckay deserves far more recognition
Finally many many people noticed how extraordinary George is. Noticed him 6 or 7 years ago

Try the movie Once...Glen Hansard...
This version always puts a big dumb smile on my face and the harmonizing at 2:20 gives me goosebumps everytime. :)
Love this version, the way the instruments build slowly in the background - excellent.
When it's slowed down you realise what a beautiful song it is.
