Let's point out...Shiv was the one who ...won. She was the deciding vote and she could have stopped Tom but...she gave it to him because at least that way she still has one hand on the wheel. She still can do her political shit etc. etc. but she never had as much invested as Kendall and Roman so...and at one point, this was Tom and Shiv's ENTIRE PLAN. I think if in the ending, if when Tom got in the car and put his hand out, that she grasped it more firmly and they squeezed each others hands and looked at each other with a little smirk and you realize...it was THEIR plan to do THAT ALL ALONG...that would have been cool. They could have changed the writing around enough to accomodate that ending. I think that would have been cool but I guarantee you we would have heard cries of "feminism run amok" because a woman came out on top if that happened but it would have been the coolest thing about Shiv (i already thought she was the coolest of the three, then connor...or maybe he was the best...then roman, then kendall...but yeah, she lost the least and is rich as fuck.

I don’t like how shiv betrayed Kendall. It felt really rushed for. Me. Also not a fan of Roman this episode he was so limp for the finale

Shiv has decided to change her mind ever since she learnt that Tom is the CEO, chosen by Mattson. And Kendall double down everything by having audicity to sit on Logan's chair and also put his foot on the desk. And then the vote ties to 6-6 and she was the last one who has to make decision. At that moment, for the first time ever, Shiv gains concious, she needs to think whether she has to choose her husband whom she doesn't love him anymore or her idiot arrogant older brother who can't criticism and can't shut up to be the CEO. If she choose Kendall to be the CEO and Roman as COO, it would be like Season One again where both of Kendall and Roman don't take to lead the company seriously. Also, ever since Mattson's betrayal to her, she finally realizes she can't be CEO nonetheless. For the first time in her life, she chose to take a risk that will cause her future.
