Another way to do blood without ruining minifigs, just use blu tack on them and colour it in with red felt tip pen. It works well and looks pretty realistic.
I really like the rain idea! One thing that you didn't say at all is making the figures talk, that might be worth it's own video. But I think you should do something on that.
What a great tutorial, this will definitely help people out 👍 Your tutorials have all been very good, great stuff! The 360 shot was one I was not aware of, thanks!
I do love the blood drip effect, where you add a drip of blood every frame but i never thought of the laptop background, im definitely going to try that, maybe with a monitor so i can have a bigger scene
Hello!!!!!!!!! I’m extremely new to stop motion, I’ve watched a few different animators and want to get into it. A friend bought me a lego set that I built and now I’m planning on using that and animating it. Later down the road, I will be using a lot if not all of the tricks you listed!!!!!!!!! Thank you sooo much!!!!!!!!!
really helpful tips. Gives me new techniques to try. You have earned a sub. @5:24, hehe kids will have reasons to buy it now. "Mom, Dad I was smoking, I was animating". Btw for @5:58, the panning shots, incase the table surface is small or the set is too big and has a lot of things that can fall if moved, my suggestion is to use the camera on tracks technique, it's a technique used by all film industries. Basically what you do is build a track at whatever distance from the set on the base plate using flat tiles and make sure it's the same width as the camera's base and then place the camera base onto the track. Then shoot away
This really helped me out!!! Thanks a lot!!! Fyi: i didnt actually need to know about all the tricks you showed, but I watched it anyway because PROFIT. Plus they actually might be useful in the future.
I like the idea of having a Lego stud under your set when moving your set. I would just move it free style and use onion skin to see where I want the next photo. I’ll give your idea a go and see if there’s a difference
I use stop motion studio too! I’ve loved stop motion ever since I can remember and I started making my own when I was about six I post some of my vids sadly I don’t do as much lego stop motion then I used to now I do claymation and I also use black series figures I really like you’re vids and thanks for the tips they will definitely come in handy👍
no worries man hope it helps and it depends I did a video on what number of frames per second to use but I would recommend 12 for making it look very smooth :)
I have a tip for making blood effects without damaging figures. Use windows paint and do it as a special effect you might need high resolutions to make it look good though.
I wish I knew these tips when I used to do these animations. Awesome work! And what software do you use after the stop motion? To make the snow fall and blaster effects?
Extra tip with the phone backdrop video if u want to get extra precise then you can use the . To go exactly one frame in the video or the , to go exactly one frame backwards
Parents: **Finds vape**
Netbrix: “It’s not what you think, I use to create foggy scenes in my Lego stop motion animations.”
Lol

I think just change faces
If you use stop motion studio just look up how on that app
Yeah that's true
And to add extra spice, remove the paint of the mouth and change the mouth movement for each word

I absolutely love how you used a jumper plate for 360 shots instead of those spinny things! I would’ve never thought of that!
Dude these tips were great! I never really knew how easy the rain effect was, and I'm definently using those camera tips. Amazing video
I just realized that at 6:30 he used legs as fingers for the close up shot of the hand, this man is too smart
Never thought a vape could be used for brickfilming lol! Thanks for the tips. I might have to try the rain effect sometime in the future.
Only good if you use one that you don't have to inhale though, that shit can kill you
What a great tutorial, this will definitely help people out 👍
Your tutorials have all been very good, great stuff! The 360 shot was one I was not aware of, thanks!
Top trooper productsssssss it’s youuuuuuuuuuu
For the night time part, I recommend using soft lights(led strips) or practical lighting(lights you can see in the shot like lamps)
I do love the blood drip effect, where you add a drip of blood every frame but i never thought of the laptop background, im definitely going to try that, maybe with a monitor so i can have a bigger scene

A good way to make the smoke effects besides vaping, you could use a smoke machine or dry ice.
Don't vape kids
He mentioned smoke machines in the video and if you can't get a smoke machine how the hell are you gonna get dry ice
@@g5topmarksman488 I don’t think kids will Vape and if a certain TH-camr who is under 18 then I think he’ll just spray it instead of actually vaping
Wow this is so useful! Now I can't wait to add rain and do 360 shots!
