I have this keyboard. I love how simple it looks specially when they removed the side accent for a more minimalistic look, paired with my Gateron Milky Red Pros, they sound clacky af which I like
A big plus of this keyboard over many other customizable boards is that it has ISO layout. ANSI is just a total nogo. Im fine with swapping a few keys here and there. But ANSI.... Its just too cringe. Also I feel like due to the fully assambeled one only being like 13€ more its almost better value than the Barebone. Even if you wont use them in the end. You pay 13€ for the Piano switches and PBT keycaps. Who knows maybe you can even sell them again and gain money in the end haha
the perfect keyboard is a keyboard that sounds amazing and has rapid trigger and at a decent great price and aluminium case and yea that is the perfect keyboard - no hate this keyboard top notch keep it up
The sound is still as clacky and thin as before. The custom config makes it a little better but eh.. doesnt satisfy me enough But great review as always:)
Thank you! I thought there was a bit more meat on the custom config sound. I think it's the shallow bottom-out on the Piano Pros that I'm not best fond of
Sadly the 2.4 GHz connection is not safe to use as Akko/Monsgeek do not use any encryption. The keystrokes are transmitted as plain text for all to see, and a bad actor could even send their own keystrokes to the PC. This should be considered a wired or Bluetooth keyboard only. For comparison, Logitech, SteelSeries, and Razer use encryption.
@@thetrashman5258 I think you've misunderstood me. It's not that wireless doesn't work. It does work, but it uses a plain text, not-encrypted connection. This means that anyone within range can capture the radio transmission and read your keystrokes. Akko/Monsgeek acknowledge this themselves - you can just email them and ask if they use encryption for their 2.4 GHz connections, and they'll tell you that they don't.
Hey brotherman! Great review and an even greater video. Could you please explain in regard to your custom config at 8:00, what did you do to the stabilizers or in general to make the spacebar sound so much better? (as in less rattle specifically)
Thank you very much! ☺So for my custom config, I went back to using the plate-mounted stabilisers - they performed much better than the stock screw-ins
For a more thocky sound try tempest mod (2 layers), force break mod and polyfill instead of case foam. I wasn't happy with the stock plate mount stabilizers either, but the holee mod and hand lubed solved that.
@@ImaTopic It's hard to say how much polyfill I put in, but I estimate enough to fill the case and still have some flex. I used regular GPL 205g0 for the stabs.
The M1W V3 SP is listed as new, but is it different from the regular M1W V3 ? Do you know if they fixed the incompatibility with VIA or are they just trying to force their own tool ?
I have the old version, but i can't find the differences between their. Visually, I can see that the side detail has been removed. But is there anything else?
I think that if you're going to use stock stabs for sound tests, maybe you should try something like Knight Stabs or something else that have less rattle out of the box, like Stupid Stabs or the KPR Paigu Stabs (which are essentially the exact same stabs for cheaper).
@@sc.studio maybe for work, smart TV or something like that, I can use it, but not for real gaming where some games require a numpad. I don't like looking for replacement bindings to control the game. (I don't see my previous answer so... if these are two the same messages don't blame)
The custom config sounds way better! You know it's a premium board when it weighs 1.85KG haha. Great review🔥
Thank you! Yeah it sounds much better IMO. The keyboard is beefy 😄
I own the QMK kit. Couldn't quite make it as thocky as most other people who reviewed this board, but it's definitely a nice board.

Yep I agree, it’s much sleeker minus the accent piece!
It might be a bit controversial but I'm not a massive fan of the board texture, the keycaps on the other hand... they look great - great review man!
I hear you man, I can see how it might not be for everyone. Thank you ☺️
Mine just arrived yesterday. Love it ❤
Glad you’re enjoying it!

I see no problem to mine, probably you gotta update the firmware in the software instead?

@@lornelorne5727 word, maybe I'll use this wired when battery says low
interesting, what about keychron?
Aside from qc issues now a security issue as well… pass.
damn the spacebar in the custom config sounds so much like metal if u know what i mean
A very great review, was deciding between this or the Yunzii AL75. which one do you think is better?
definitely this one
do i need dowload the software to make my keyboard have better performance? cuz sometimes i feel like there's 'skip' on the buttons

How much polyfill would you use and what type of lube for the stabilizers?

stock plate mounted stabilizers are very fine to me, idk if you have that black or purple one assuming that they perform differently
whats the difference between the Mod 007B he? :D
I'd take the Bridge 75, ND75, or Rainy75 over this currently
Including five spare switches may also mean they break more often. :D
Haha - it's not my first time using them and I've never had any problems 😅
incase you lose them you screwdriver🗿
can you make a review for the HE version compared to wooting 60he
Aren´t those switches shown in the video, the "normal" Akko Pianos and not the Pros? I thought the stem on the pros always is dustproof
Nope, not all of the pros have the dust proof stem. I choice I was confused by as well
Does it have the red led in your face when charging like V1?
Great review
Thank you 😁
Do you know if one could buy this keycaps from Akko? I would love it for m5w

SP =Side Print keycaps
almost made a mistake of purchasing this over rainy 75 standard black
Would you recommend trying the Rainy75
Where did you get your mousepad, the Bigger one at the end?
It's called the Cloud White from Mykeybrd!
I have the old version, but i can't find the differences between their. Visually, I can see that the side detail has been removed.
But is there anything else?
they upgraded the knob and the issue with the case when changing the gasket thingy
Is it just me or is it really pingy in the stock form?
The screw-in stabs definitely sound pingy 😭
What do the initials "SP" mean?
Side-printed
can you turn off the red light charging when plug the cable, mine always on :((
sadly you can't.
I just wanna ask is the charging indicator below the spacebar, does this one will off when its full?
It just lights when is 10%, when charging, or if you pres fn+spacebar to show the % of battery it has left.
compare to wooting?
This isn’t the HE version so in terms of gaming, there’s no comparison

I recommend Getting AULA 75. It the same color ways with everything just better.
Certainly a great keyboard, but not everything is better!
Since when is plastic better than aluminum?
screw in stabilizers are so bad
Untuned - agreed!
At the very least, they're a b*tch to lube if you're not accustomed to it.
i dont like the trend of that spray coated aluminum. i hate how it feels. thats actually a deal breaker on an otherwise perfect board
The space bar sounds so bad
🤣
great keyboard but to expensive
$138 is pretty mid-range for a custom keyboard!
looks great but sounds so bad, espically with all the sub 100 dollar keyboards coming out right now
