I love this show so much! I don't know why but the way the kanji flow from top to bottom at the end and Kyo seems to drag them down with his hands is sooo pleasing to watch. The entire setup for this concert was insane with the closed up concert space and the audience sitting motionless in black. The idea of a sukekiyo concert like this just really excites me ^^'. And yes, they are all super talented. I love Dir en grey but sukekiyo is my favortite band in the world. Mika is my biggest inspiration on the drums and he also directs all of their videos which seems quite the challange. Takumi is a force on the piano and guitar. He was and is the studio pianist for Dir en grey so he and Kyo probably knew each other the longest. They released piano and violin versions of the songs Akuro no Oka, Ain't afraid to die and Glass Skin recently - with Takumi on piano and Jumpei on violin. Should anyone read this who hasn't checked them out yet, please do so. You can find them if you search for Dir en grey - ambient collection. Yuchi, the bassist is ridiculously skilled. He creates the most insane bass lines and he really likes to experiment with new equipment. And Uta is awesome on the guitars and violyre - I am sure you will see him playing that soon, as someone will recommend Elisabeth Addict sooner or later. They are all mesmerizing to watch. When it comes to Dir en grey - there is certainly less dancing then in sukekiyo but there is a lot of it, too. Just remember the performance for Vinushka that you saw, it had some beautiful movements. And you usually find a lot more dancing in everything from the Withering to Death era :)
When it comes to Sukekiyo reaction, I'm just always concerned whether the reactor can "understand" or not. As always, Kyo is someone that creates "expression" for the story within the lyrics. If you don't understand the story, quite interestingly, it could almost sound like just a noise. Very hard to appreciate this storyteller's art. Lyric, instrument, vocals. All high skilled and complex. I can only admire people that can understand all 3 at the same time.
