Taken from their TOUR16-17 FROM DEPRESSION TO ______ [mode of Withering to death].
朔 (saku) means "new moon".
Merciless Cult was suggested by Damien R, I hope you like it. 朔-saku- was a suggestion by Sadistic MeTT (not the Nippon Budokan 2016 live, but for tefutefu I'll use that one)!
Translation by me.
Annotations to Merciless Cult:
"Inside comparisons and correlations" - "Correlations" is actually more like "proportion" (as in something being proportionate to something) and I know the two aren't the same, but in order to make sense in an English sentence I decided "correlations" was a close enough option.
"Please love it" - I believe this line is mostly translated as "Please love me". That's an option as well. Personally I think we're told right after what it is that is to be loved, but at the end of the day it could be either.
Annotations to 朔-saku-:
"In broad daylight" - This is actually an expression that would literally be more along the lines of "under the burning/white sun", but since it's an expression meaning that something is "laid bare in broad daylight (for everyone to see)" I translated it that way.
"Ashes and tears and quietness..." - "Quietness" as in staying quiet, holding back, descriptive of someone's behavior.
Also, in Japanese it is clear grammar wise that the people holding "ashes and tears and quietness" do something with it in their hands. What they do is left out.

Ive been to multiple Dir en grey shows...All i can say is that its a religious experience...every time they come to NA its like my personal pilgrimage to see them live.

Protip: You can pronounce Kyos name exactly like you would pronounce the "Kyo" in "Tokyo". He uses the same Kanji, even :)

I wonder why no one is asking for Dir En Grey - Mushi and Sugizo ft. Kyo - Zessai.
For a reaction, people want the reactors to understand this band's technical ability in vocals and instruments.
@@gjrloiouyfchicfhhudrgky3470 After that logic it's a scandal that people never request Vanitas. I think it has more to do with the fact that people ask for their personal favorites or things they believe the reactors will like from previous statements, especially if you have to donate. I would LOVE to see them do mushi or Zessai and I think both songs show incredible skills in song writing - but even more important they are super emotional songs and I think that technicallity is only a means to an end for Dir en grey anyway, it's just the skillset they need in order to create this much depth and emotion. But I am super happy with every other reaction to Dir en grey and sukekiyo as well - so let's just appreciate the people who donate and share these reactions with us! 🤍

[I just like to mention other songs in comments because it might make people remember those gems or look them up if they don't know them yet. I don't know why but Merciless Cult always makes me feel giddy [with excitement]. Maybe it has something to do with it being the first song on Withering to Death. It kind of opens that world and takes you on a ride.
