    I trust those sellers who are open about how to choose durians. Those who are unhappy about this and that when you choose, get out.

    Fruit that perfect in shape are mostly planted from seeds, and the odd shapes the Cresent ones are mostly grafted from selected trees(mostly tasted really good or better type or flavor, generally superior)

    It's always hard to choose durian that can fully match your expectation. but they can still taste differently despite the similarity in colours
    I agree that Musang King usually has 2 flavours.. predominantly sweet or bitter. Always choose one with a good strong aroma and reject if there's no smell at all when u sniff it
    And u don't need to get the durian close to your ear when shaking it. Just hold it tight horizontally with both hands and shake. U should feel the pulps inside moving slightly if the durian is fully ripe

    True or false: Export durians are pre cut from trees for faster havesting then carbide soaked to heighten ripening at the other end?

    • @madxp9668
      @madxp9668 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Those are Thailand durian
      If u ask Malaysias to do so, probably u asking for war, they usually wait for the durian to ripe and drop naturally without hitting the ground to prevent it from start fermentation, then freeze them in liquid nitrogen then export it to China or futhur countries

      @amrozh985 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      True . It's Thai style in doing with most fruits. That's why, their fruits taste funny. Same to longan, mangoes etc

    Learning to choose durians in Singapore is just like learning to choose wine in mexico and learning to select cheeses in China. Singapore does not produce durians. Please go to Thailand and Malaysia.
