Great Vid Carl. Glad to see that the 2nd lower unit can be used but like you said, breaking that same damn bolt sux. 12:35 am and it''s time to take a break. Vids 1-3 were such a tutorial. Good Job. See you in Vid #4.
Hi Carl, You can ask Emile how to deal with the broken bolt. From what I learned from him: clean the corrossion, weld on a nut on de boken bolt, heat the threading (!) and then try to wiggle back an forth, using gentle force and some WD 40. Sending it to a pro probably will cost a lot of money
That thing that fell out was a roller for the starter clutch. I don't think there's a key on this crank and I've watched other videos where people say that older ones did not have them. But I will definitely check it.
If you buy a used cylinder, make sure that it is not warped before assembling. I bought one and found out later that it was not straight - very small, but very aggravating leak between the cylinder head and cylinder! It needs to be removed and decked, much to my chagrin!

Maybe you can ask Emile to ping me on Discord or something.... You're over there all the time and it can be hard to get his attention.😃
@@wastingmymoneyonmotorcycles Well, actually, I'm not the Leon who is busy with the new office at Emile's workshop 😅...
@@leonkrouwel1878 There's more than one Dutchman named Leon?

Hopefully you saw the rotor key that came off the shaft (when you pulled it) laying on the table!

Yes good advice.!
The steel ball is NOT a ball bearing. It's a bearing ball!
