I mean, the fact they done such report is great But you know, they faked a lot of staff people said in interactions, idk if it's worth describing as amazing thing
Yeah, if you can call this a "great journalism"... Literally watched 6 minutes and already seen: 1. misleading translation (i understand both russian and ukrainian and english) because sometimes the translation did not represent what was ACTUALLY said 2. misleading images (e.g. when the woman from donetsk was talking about the missile, it was "tochka-u", which was launched BY ukraine into RUSSIAN -speaking territory of donetsk) 3. interpreting the situation from the point of view of only one side, discarding both the point of view of the other side and the history behind these events overall these 6 minutes of the video are very misleading and just trying either make you to cry or brainwash you and yeah, im from ukraine and i know what im talking about war is terrible, but journalism should be neutral and not used for propaganda of one's opinion
@@putyorhandin1992 Please, tell me, how do you know that tochka-u was launched by Ukraine? Both armies have them in their arsenals. For example regarding Kramatorsk accident, it was already proven, that it was Russian tochka-u (even tho they claim, that they dont use them, haha).
My family was stuck in Beirut, Lebanon during the 70s when missiles were being dropped. They ended up stranded for almost a year before they fled to Egypt and then back home to Australia. I always heard stories from my grandma. She'd tell the kids (my mum and uncle) that the explosion sounds were just "loud fireworks". They both grew up with PTSD trauma from that because simply put, they knew what it really was. My mum would've been 4 or 5 years old at the time, and she has horrible nightmares and is terrified of loud sounds. She recalled to me that she knew they weren't fireworks due to the sirens and screaming civilians. I really feel bad for that young mother being interviewed first and I really hope her children don't have the same experience my family did. Hopefully they remain blissfully unaware, but atrocities like this do immense damage. Hoping for the best for you, and all of Ukraine.
Children are smarter than most give credit for. They can 100% make the connection. Especially when under those kinds of duress. but maybe the parents trying to place the blame for it on other things eases some stress. the fake calmness that the parents show probably helps a lot.
@@STOPSYPHER It's been proven more and more that it is not that children are ignorant, they are actually intelligent. BUT in their own way, their understanding of the world. At the time, they might have not knew exactly, but as you grow older and have more of an understanding of things, you now realize the horror that it actually was. And at age 4-5, you will definitely know something is wrong.
Some of the things the chatters actually typed out are some of the weirdest things I've ever read. Props to Asmon for speaking his mind and saying what he wants to say without worrying about being right or wrong.
Twitch is just an online store for attention. They're just saying whatever they think will get a reaction to feel like someone listens to them. If they had something they really wanted to talk about they'd go to their friends or family and have a discussion.
@@harveyflippers9531 Yea seems like kids idolize russia because of Kkomrade and videos of random russians doing stupid shit so they think they are cool/badass.
Lot of veterans get PTSD just from the fact of being in an area of conflict like that. These people will be affected by this for a long long time..... sad
Dude that shit is real. I was in Kiyv for the first few days of the war. that constant sound of rockets flying over and fighter jets that thing hits hard. I decided to leave in a few days when Obolon and Minska and that region turned into a game of world of tanks. got even scary stuff that happened on the way west. when I finally reached a safe place far west of Ukraine I still for a week kept being spooked by the sound of a fridge and random everyday stuff. even sleeping was hard cause I could hear my heartbeat when I slept(It sounded to me like far away gunshots that is filtered by the walls of the building)
seeing the utter devastation of Mariupol makes it even more terrifying to see these people going to shelter when the air raid sirens go off. People in Mariupol hid in shelters and STILL didn't always survive the attacks
I'm a bit conflicted if it is the right decision, tho. I completely understand why she does it, protecting her childs mental well being is very important, but keeping the kids physical health safe is priority I think. Making the child aware of the danger might keep the child safe from danger by preventing the kid from acting wreckless or something. In order for the child to avoid danger, he/she needs to know it even exists.
Dude, you are very well oriented in this situation. Respect! In my city of Wrocław in Poland we have SO many Ukrainians right now, every day I hear the same amount of polish and ukrainian. We welcome them with open arms, and we will help them as much as we can.
Two Moldovans work for my dad seasonally and this year when they came they talked a bit w me about how it sounds. They apparently live like 50km from the border with Ukraine and could hear the shells going off for hours on end. They were laughing it off for the most part but mentioned that thinking about the possibility of this happening to their country they had a mental breakdown one night and couldnt do anything. These men work usually 10 hours per day Monday to Saturday from march until weather allows them (usually till august or October) , then they return home and care for what they have there. The pay they earn here allows them to live a way better life than with the wages they could earn back home.
6:23 she literally said "i didnt get into the details" but they subtitled it as "he heard loud explosions and understood" sometimes i wonder why bother going a petty extra mile to discredit Russia when they have been doing a good job of doing that themselves
I noticed these inconsistencies as well, they didn't do a very good job translating. I don't have anything against journalism and showing these horrors: it IS horrible. But I believe Andrew is biased, this vid is one-sided and angled to just paint russia bad. Just let it handle it themselves, as you said, they have been doing a good job themselves.
That part with the kid just being so happy amidst the misery of a war... Kudos to the parents for keeping the spirits high. Sometimes I forget how fortunate I am just by living in a country that's not currently at war.
Never can you experience heartbreak and rage at the same time as strongly as when injustice is imparted on the innocent by those who are cruel and ignorant.
The bravery of this man is respectable. Although translation is a bit weird sometimes. What I mean by that is sometimes a person says one thing, but subtitles tell another.
Might be because some of the interviewed people arent 100% fluent in english and i dont know if they had fluent translator for ukrainian and polish portions of the video.
@@Luna.0o yeah but sometimes the translation is just plan wrong. Best example was the girl. She said she was 14. They ask her if she was 15 and she while clearly not understanding says yes.

The thing is he's pretty one sided on this issue as well. He lives under the illusion that Russia is the bad guy here and that they're being bombarded with propaganda as if the same isn't true for Ukraine. He's completely oblivious to the genocide Ukraine has been waging in Donbas and the amount of horror the Russian people in those areas have had to endure over the last 8 years.

I’m Russian who just moved to US end of 2021 - I can’t tell you how heartbreaking it is to see, what my country did to the neighbours we used to call brother nation and we’ll never be able to call so again. There is a millions of Russian people horrified by these events, who simply cannot leave the country and at the same time are afraid to speak up because they legitimately can get 10 years in prison for that. And even all that is shadowed by those people in Ukraine who are experiencing literally the worst possible thing that could happen to them. Appreciate it, Asmon, as entertaining the nature of your channel is, the more important it is to change the subject for a minute and use your fame to show something that is so important. Thank you.

It's atrocious that Asmon has to be careful about showcasing real events happening in the real world on stream because Twitch cares more about precious advertising money. God forbid people are informed or shown news footage so that Twitch/Amazon can get even MORE money, as if they really need it. I really hate how money drives everything now, and getting as much profit as humanly fucking possible is seen as more important than doing the right thing or allowing expression of genuine journalism. All because advertisers need their "pure" untouched media to plaster their garbage down peoples' throats because all Twitch gives a flying fuck about is money and nothing else
@@Chaelsonen I was mostly referring to Andrew and Channel 5, my bad for not being more specific. All other mainstream media from almost any point in history is hardly genuine but yeah I'm just jaded about how shit is always centered around money
I would say that Asmongold is wrong when it comes to comparing propaganda tbh. Everytime America goes to war i.e Iraq, Iran we are fed the exact same thing as other countries "America is fighting from freedom" etc. The "America is the greatest country in the world" sentiment is so widespread so I think it's a bit disingenuous to say they are incomparable.
I think the difference lies in that we don't arrest you for protesting the war (usually and at least in theory) whereas in many other countries going against the propaganda means jail at best and death for you and your family at worst.
@@Skateraids ok in that case I'd say it's a fair comparison. Fox and CNN are basically party affiliated programs at this point. However I do think that the effectiveness of the propaganda is much greater when you are legally not allowed to question it and I think that that is evidenced by the fact that as more information came out in America about Vietnam and Iraq and Afghanistan the war slowly began to be opposed by the majority of American people. Russia is not letting the images that would change its people's mind out and if you share them they're putting you in jail and targeting your family. That means that their propaganda while it may be the same strength and amount is more effective.
People saying "But what about America" really have no idea what it's like here in Russia. You have no idea how good you have it. Yeah, US has its problems, what place doesn't? But comparing the two is nonsensical.
Actually he said that he wants to be a cop, not a doctor . I had the same dream when I was 5. Become a cop and get rich, because even at the age of 5 I knew how corrupt they are. I'm from Russia
it’s so absurd to imagine we’re having a war at this scale, in this day and age. But I guess the major atrocities throughout history never really stopped. Just shifted elsewhere. it could be much worse given the resources all sides have.

I live in Dnipro, and we have a siren for around 4-12 times a day. Siren screams loudly, meaning there's either an enemy jet, a plane, heli or a rocket flying towards us or in our region to somewhere else. As mentioned, yes, we got used to it. We have kids outside, playing on the playground while we have the alarm. The only times people are moving is when we either hear how our Air Defense is working or something actually hit the ground. Sometimes we hear explosion that happened without a siren, which means the threat was not detected, and thus leading to a direct hit. Luckily, for my city, there were no civilian buildings hit directly by the rocket. A few days ago our international airport got destroyed. You just sit in your apartment, and at 1 am you hear 5 explosions(there were more later on), one by one in a strict interval. That was a bit scary, because it is forbidden to send info in any messengers, the location of landing, the footage of how our military is working and etc. So you're just waiting for the information that will be said in a few hours after the attack, and hoping for it not to be a civilian building or region.
Theres SO much shit people believe, both on right and left wing. And then you get bashed for being a centrist. Like you HAVE to fit a certain mold, its getting ridiculous.
you just can't compare russian propaganda to literally anything. My uncle, who was a top-manager of a very prominent intercontinental company and who loved USA is now against it and against all the west - just because he has TV on almost all the time. Scary thing is - a lot of people support current authorities. This is insane. People, who I thought progressive, are turning like 180 degrees in an instant. And one of the worst things is - western people think we, people who are against this (I can't type anything concrete because I can get arrested for that), can change things. We can't, we're a minority, we're like 10% of the overall population in Russia. Please, try and stop the hate based on nationality; I'm not getting a lot of flak from western people, but I tend to get ignored or talked to very coldly when people realize I'm russian. added: America does the same stuff, but with one difference: it doesn't let it's citizens suffer. Our government could care less if we suffer or not. Money, that could've been spent on production (since western investors are rapidly fleeing the country we're at risk of a huge economics crysis), are spent on propaganda instead so people are brainwashed into supporting this bloodshed and hating on a nation that's basically the same as us and has always been viewed as our siblings. This is absolute and utter insanity and quite honestly this is the first time I am so depressed I don't know what to do and how to live on, and I'm not even the one being bombed. I can't fathom the feeling of these poor people, who aren't even certain if their homes are still there or have they been leveled to the ground. It's year 2022, why does this barbarism have to exist?

Its awful to see how whole world getting fooled. All that Ukrainians say is not actually accurately translated and if you know their language you can see much darker colors in subtitles compared to what they actually saying...
Sadly it’s gonna happen. It happened to my family when I was super young. It was during the 90s Yugoslavian war. My dad decided we should leave for Germany and we did and send a lot of money back to Bosnia so our family could fight back against the ethnic cleansing the Serbs were doing. But after the war sadly they made a lot of Bosnians go home. I'm originally from Kazakhstan. Currently live and work in Russia. I gotta say something probably pretty unpopular. I've watched both sides since the very start (2014). And i have a couple things to say: 1) Propaganda is strong on BOTH sides. It's always strong, anywhere on a world map. 2) Both sides can be equally guilty here. The neofascists of "Azov" are real. Ukraine actually militarized neofascists, armed and trained them, and they were ok with them being so, as long as they hated russians more than anyone else. But simple Ukranians protecting their home and families are other thing. They didn't deserve this. No one does. 3) Referendums they held in Crimea, Donbass and Lugansk could've been planned and results could be falsified. 4) Ukraine was going to join the EU and NATO. Where's NATO - there's US. The NATO and American Military bases right nearby the Russian border would've been a real threat. But a full-on conflict?.. 5) There was years of (lazy, but still real) bombardments (from Ukraine's side) on Donbass and Lugansk. And i mean people died, lost their homes and families. I've got a friend - a refugee from that area. Fled to Russia in 2016. When the conflict started she actually said, that "they had it coming". 6) There's no justifying killing the innocent civilians. The blood of the innocent people will always be on hands of the killers. And I'm sure, both sides are aware of that. And, finally, nothing really changed in war: one group of elites fighting another group of elites through the hands of the third for control and riches. But simple people are always the ones suffering the most. Stay strong, people, whoever you are. Dark ages will pass, and someday I hope we will all live in Peace and Harmony... Amen. P.S. I'm sorry if it seemed biased or onesided, but that's my opinion that i created throughout the years analyzing the info from all over the globe.
Thank you. I'm 100% agree with that statements. I'm just deeply hurt about civilians dying in this bullshit. And living in country with such bullshit amount of propaganda and paramilitary national idea is a very scary thing. P.S. All props to Kazach people, Can i relocate to you please? :) (I'm a Software Engineer) P.P.S. And what do you think about your previous constitution voting?
I am happy that you are awakened bro. But the referendum didnt need to be falsified cuz crimea wanted out of ukraine ASAP. Ukraine revolution CIA staged was made to kill russians and thats what happened in kiev and odessa. crimea being russians were scared shitless, also the fact that crimea had their electricity cut, water stopped, etc etc, by ukraine CIA government so Russia of course came in crimea and crimea people of course wanted it. And they actually helped them from total destruction, like donbass and lugansk would have suffered. Alll things are connected and follow a direction. Look more into it, you will see that russia only has to say the truth to win. Ukraine can only lie.

Everytime America goes to war i.e Iraq, Iran we are fed the exact same thing as other countries "America is fighting from freedom" etc. The "America is the greatest country in the world" sentiment is so widespread so I think it's a bit disingenuous to say they are incomparable.

@@sarzootashoota351 I'm not speaking on freedom of speech I'm strictly speaking the amount and type of propaganda. I believe it's quite comparable

The situation in Ukraine is absolutely terrible
you know I really agree with what you were saying on the topic of certain people being possibly "misinformed" on certain subject but at the same time, This is something that I really need you to understand is that if thats what you truly believe then why wouldnt you be doing or not being doing something about it. Like if you truly believed that all Putin was doing was attempting to control and rid Ukraine of a "large" radical Nazi party then why wouldn't you support that? No matter how much i may disagree with certain political views doesn't mean that these people should have their voices shut down. Im not saying that we need to agree but if we want to begin open and honest conversations about certain hard subjects , in politics especially, than we need to begin to "understand" and "accept". love the videos and please continue to do what you do.
Asmongold doing gods work by shearing this with his viewers for real it’s messed up what’s happening over there
And it hits differently when you look into the history between Ukr and the US, and when you start moving away from the talking points of the warmongering corporate mainstream media.
I can’t watch this to the end especially when I see a mother holding her child at around 3:45. I feel bad for these new generation of children in Ukraine.
God bless all world and Ukraine people ❤
You got it a bit wrong. US military don't bomb civilians for the sake of it. They try to avoid it by any means and weapons are made to strike accurately , ruskies on the other hand most weapons are old and hitting civilians on purpose.
Wish someone did the same back in 99 when NATO bombarded Serbia but i guess people are forgetting too fast they will forget this in 20-30 years as it never happened. Civilians always suffer and always will in any war and the saddest thing is when it end`s people forget far too soon.
Nah, people's care is EXTREMELY selective. It's not forgotten because no one cared to begin with.
Ironic you talk about civilians suffering considering how much genocide the Serbian government sponsored. No wonder you fascists engage in whataboutism in Ukraine and engage in useful puppetry for your Russian masters. Shameful.
Its ok to bomb civilians if they are terrorists\war criminals\separatists
ebels\communists\whateverelseisbadusastateis.
@@DarkThagan most people didnt care because media didnt make a show out of it
It was US-made bombs that dropped over your heads back then and in Yemen right now. It's Russian missiles and shells that hit Ukraine right now. That's all you need to now. People don't truly care beyond the usual internet slacktivism, they are only told to care by an aggressive media campaign that has to manufacture consent.
I love how Zack just has common sense and that's enough to rip apart the takes of children who have learned their entire political ideology through memes and reddit
Watching you from 2018, i am from Ukraine, i am so glad you talking and showing that to the whole world. Much love dooode!
As often as Asmon puts his foot in his mouth about silly things, sometimes he really does bring up some hard truths and the chat never seems to be on board. Solid video.
I'm a 19 y/o student from Chernihiv. The street that I grew up on was bombed to the ground. The next day we left city, Russians blew up the bridge.
Because of that and the fact that I left the country as ukrainian student (it's kinda gray zone in our law, but there is no way I'm leaving my mom by staying in the country), I don't have place to come back anymore.
For me, thats just a very wierd feeling and a bunch of anger mixed with anxiety, but for mom, that a full blown trauma. Sitting under bombardment every day for 4 weeks with little to no food... thats not how I thoght I would grow up.
Just wanted to write this, so it'll be here in when it'll be over...
Upd: just to reiterate for the comments down, I only say that there is no place to me to come back. Yes, I hate russians. But that wasn't my point. I hate them as nation that tried to destroy ours from 17th century and as people who are trying to do it right now. But I still watch russian youtubers that I like. I still talk to my russian friends that are just happened to live in Russia and most importantly, I still have a family members that are supporting war, but I still talk to them.
I understand that you had a hard time, but did your media tell you that the Russians blew up the bridge? You were not told how YOUR military undermined all the bridges just to prevent the Russians from passing. There is no need to blame Russia for all the sins of mankind, this is already turning into absurdity.
@@ViktorAl-o9z I don’t think he blaming them for all. I’m sure he doesn’t blame all Russians either. Just Putin and his supporters. Also you’re contradicting your point. Ukraine might have blown up the bridge but it’s because of the actions cause by Putin. Even if the Ukraine military did it, you can’t deny the reason why was for defense.
@@AjaxOutlaw I do not deny that this was done for the sake of protection. But Russia was accused of destroying the infrastructure. And so it happens all the time. It doesn't matter who made it, if it's bad, it means Russia.
@@ViktorAl-o9z Oh dont even start with those conspiracies. Don't even start. You really think Ukraine can spare the resources and manpower to bomb their own people/buildings? For what reason. Get real man, geez.
@@ViktorAl-o9z You need to understand that nowadays there are so many ways to confirm russia's atrocities, even when you try to deny ukrainian news sources, might as well take a look at international investigation committee that will show you the evidence. Before advocating for russia, might as well dig up more info about what they do rather than listen to what they say.
I like the way you said what you did toward the end of the video. I appreciate that you don't compromise your identity by trying to appease others. It's pretty refreshing to see someone with your level of influence saying they don't care what others think and actually proving it. Respect.

How is Putin's Russia being allies with China and North Korea not enough to not like Putin TC?
Thanks Asmon for highlighting this, especially calling out deniers of this war. I'm from Kyiv and never left city even when situation looked dire. At the start of april russians left and stopped bombing Kyiv and suburbs, life normalized at least a little bit but today sirens are on again and they threatening to launch missiles on center of Ukraine including Kyiv. 11:20 worse yet, rating are based on questionnaires where you also have to provide your ID data. And it's not a good idea to even mention that you are against the "special operation". Calling it a w-word can get you nifty fine and jail time. For example, you can look up some of the funniest arrests: single protest with "stop fascism", charged with "defamation of armed forces", free giveaway of Orwell's 1984, same charge, and multiple cases of "for peace" protests where people were just silently standing with banners until they were taken in. And at least one time protester wasn't taken into custody: fella just held MIR card (local payment system created to replace Visa/Mastercard, literally translates as "Peace/World") above his head.
Worse yet, people over 30 who don't really follow news on the internet truly believe that 2% of world GDP is fighting to protect them from angry Ukrainian homosexual nazis who are also developing bio- and chemical weaponry that only works on slavs. All funded by USA and NATO of course. And they still don't understand why they can't pay for Spotify, Google Drive or Xbox Live with their cards anymore.
Yes, yes. When people write things like "it was OFFICIAL questionnaire so it is 100% TRUE" I'm just facepalming.

Finally, a worthy content creator. our retention times will be legendary!
Awesome video!
That was a bit scary,
because
it is forbidden to send info in any messengers, the location of landing, the footage of how our military is working and etc.
So you're just waiting for the information that will be said in a few hours after the attack, and hoping for it not to be a civilian building or region.
The worst part is, I have a nephew, he's 2 y/o, and he understands that if there's a siren, "you need to hide in the corridor".
Asmongold watch streams Patrick lancaster about the situation in Ukraine.
@@Special_Agent_NSB Everything that is not beneficial to you is propaganda ?
Stay strong Russian brother
All you can do is leave that country as soon as you can. That is the only way to speak in Russia.
@@kieron698 I was (and probably still am) going to. As an IT specialist, I got a pretty good offer from a western company with the possibility of relocation. Problem is - my family stays here and I can't support them because of the restrictions on money transfer. Also, my gf's absolutely against relocation. I've been trying to make the right decision for the whole month now and it's honestly taken a huge toll on my psyche. Of course it's still miles better than being bombed, don't get me wrong, it's just that I've never felt that bad in my life I think
im sorry but our government lets us suffer too brother
@@dspursuer im in the same spot as you atm bro, very hard to just leave everyone and everything behind and start a new life in a different country. Just remember that there are more people out there who know the truth, a lot of them scared to admit it, but we are not alone. I think a lot of people just really loved Russia, and the moment they admit that our military is responsible for all this mayhem their world will crumble.
Damn, if Asmond is criticizing your living conditions, you know its gotten bad.
And btw in terms of propaganda you will never know how badly translated those things are. I can speak both Ukrainian and Russian, so lets look for example at 4:03. The reporter asked little boy "do you like to climb?" and subtitles for his answer were something about climbing since it perfectly fits into context, but boy actually don't understood question and said *"we ate, left by driving a car, and arrived to this place".* Anybody knowing Russian or Ukrainian can confirm my translation in case you think i am not accurate. Now question yourself while watching this - why something like this is not translated properly but so it would perfectly fits into context? *may be* they do same shit with other things that people saying? *may be* they present some information *not as it is?* Just question things, please.
But their was no home to go back to.. it’s 2022 now the war started in 92 that’s 30 years and our house is still rubble all we got is a few pictures and the stuff we could grab before leaving in the middle of the night. That’s what you Americans don’t understand you live in a bubble. Thinking your government can protect you from anything. Well just look up the Srebrenica genocide. Now I’m living in Florida. Still always a foreigner in a foreign land.

the fox news one was cut out watch the wrest of it
I'm originally from Kazakhstan. Currently live and work in Russia. I gotta say something probably pretty unpopular. I've watched both sides since the very start (2014). And i have a couple things to say:
1) Propaganda is strong on BOTH sides.
:) (I'm a Software Engineer)
The first casualty in war is the truth
