Diese gusseiserne Konstruktion in neugotischem Stil wurde um 1900 gebaut um die Viertel Baixa und Chiado zu verbinden mit einem Höhenunterschied von 45m. Der Ingenieur de Ponsard war Schüler von G. Eiffel. Die hübschen Kabinen nehmen je 24 Personen auf, die Fahrt dauert Sekunden und vielleicht nehmt Ihr meinen Rat im Beitrag an ....?
