Nice to watch your video. Our mail Lady has her own schedule as well, inconsistent with the Post Office schedule. I think it's that way nationwide, ha ha.
I also have an early’69 ct and I share your frustration with that wonky carb. Honda only used that for a few months, and later ‘69s had a normal one. I’m sure you’ll enjoy both bikes and I hope that the AT1 goes well too.
Just picked up a 1964 Honda 90 CT200 for 500 bucks. has good compression and if the miles are accurate 2,200 on it. It's in really good shape seat and all except the air tube is completely wrapped with black electrical tape and the back of the muffler rust holes which is really common for these. I haven't tried to start it other than just kicking it over to make sure it does and felt good for compression. He gave me the battery that needs to be replaced or a charge. I ordered an adjustable work stand and cover, but it is under my portable garage cover currently. Sweet little trail bike to play with over the winter months in my shed.

With the bike and the scout being so close to the same color you should keep them together! It's a match made in the 70's!

Sounds like a smoking deal!
You: let’s get this pile running! Mike in background: let’s polish this pile! 😂
Gotta keep it all pretty in here
At the end, when your dog barked, my dog, Marney, barked back.
🤣 sharing in the excitement
I wish you could send me a link for that left hand brake cable.
This is the kit we used. www.ebay.com/itm/176260074007?itmmeta=01HSCW7B99CRZ1QY165FKN2Y2H&hash=item2909eb4a17:g:4YgAAOSwBPZf84Hy
