Necrit I don't know if you''ll see this, but I really want you to check out "Guardian Tales". It's a mobile game, and you know it's good because all the reviews are FULL of praise. It's literally 4.6 stars with 663k reviews. 663k!!! It has 14 world stages currently, worlds(settings) where there are 8-13-ish levels. The first season hits its pinnacle at world 10. I'll tell you I cried so hard at the end. I don't have money because I'm a broke college sophomore with no job, but I'd literally pay you in the thousands to try the game out. The lore is SO GOOD. I KNOW BECAUSE I'VE BEEN WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS FOR 3 YEARS, and I'm judging by that standard. Plz!!!!
Another way you know it's good is the love the developers put in. I think they grew up on Hollywood or something, because they literally made entire event stages about Hollywood where you played a part that's obviously inspired by "The Godfather" "Star Wars" and motorcycle stunts. They also have references to One Piece and apparently a lot of older shows someone in the 90's would love.
It's a very thought out story, and it builds up to moments where everything pays off. An interesting thing is that som "mysterious footage" is part of the lore where it's similar to Among Us, but I'm very sure it came out before Among Us became really popular. I might be wrong. The moto of everything is "nothing is as it seems"

@@alessandroseverino8222 You can still hug top or front side of the turret to stay out of range from the bush. If it really becomes a problem they could adjust the bush a bit further but I don't think it's a problem. It's only slightly closer than blue's brush. Also, they didn't want top to be ungankable but rather more difficult to gank. Those champs could already do the same to blue side. Ward differently when against them. I'm pretty sure this is better for top red than current live version.

If you think about it, Riot might be pulling the red herring about there not being a void event BECAUSE Riot themselves have been taken over by the void/bel-veth. If you really think about it, and huff massive amounts of copium, you'd hide a void event by pretending there isn't going to be one. Its like a 4-D chess move

Season 10 is by far my least favorite preseason, but this one might give it a run for it money, this screams out, fun for 3 months, hell for 3 years before being reverted.

It's older than Garfield. Think back when the teaser for Deadpool "leaked" and that signalled actual interest to the studio, who went on to make and deliver the full film.
I took a break from League since it got repetitive but these changes and the focus on fun defiantly has me wanting to come back to try it.

As a creative, i love all these unique changes! As someone who sunk a lot of time into jungle, not so much. I feel like every update they get weaker and weaker, pets completely changing clears, new aggro methods, smite dmg changes, less bushes overall to use effectively ect ect. The two halves of me are so conflicted
the pixel bushes in the rivers seem soooo pointless? The lane openings to mid tower might be nice though

i hope at some point they come back with seasonal theme rift and howling abyss , like christmass, halloween, Spring, maybe even autumn maps
I think the little void grubs should be called void squires; we have the baron, the rift herald, so below both of those should be squires or something similar
Nice to see them finally change the game. The last time we had a massive change that mattered was the rune system rework even then it was still very similar to the old runes and masteries and made very little difference in the grand scheme of things.
This preseason reminds me of when I started playing. Hwei is super cool and unique(ish). The changes are substantial and exciting. Now we just need to get the lcs back to being the human experience it was and not the marketing scam it became.
If they DID do the cycling, I wouldn’t mind them swapping out the Void Beasts for other themed monsters and such. Baron could for example be replaced by say, Atakhan for Noxus, or by Gorlack the Unscaleable for Demacia. Would be a fun change of pace from the usual murder noodle.
the thing I am by far the most excited for is playing top and especially MID lane. As it is currently you dont even need to be pushed up to get punished by a gank. champs like nunu, rammus, hec can just run in the lane and set you back early on. Map changes make it so they have to actually put in effort or you need to be pushed up far.
This this is what the IP team is gonna keep bringing to this game I am very excited, skeptical I was because of the sheer amount of tweaks needed to be done with all the media League have, but this is a really good start, lore accurate void camps is nice.

I think it is nice to split the pits - one is for overall team power (dragons) and the other is dedicated to pushing (squippies).
I'm still a little sad that a void event will most likely never happen even though there's a demand for it. What I'm most sad about is that, if we there's no void event...then that means no update to the existing void champs. Sad Cho noises, he desperately needs a makeover. At this point, I'll take anything I can get, even if it's just a voice line update....

Okay, I love the idea of cycling content themes! That sounds a lot of fun and change every season!
The infernal drake spawning walls didnt make sense, but i still liked the idea of it scorching bushes making it not so safe to hide in the jg during counter jgling or mid game invades while at the same time making it harder for the one getting counter jgled to escape or hide themselves if they are behind.
the shelly mechanic also can get you out of a situation where jungle comes and ganks you if you get in the bush and summon it you can escape the engage mabye with herald

Honestly the map itself could be on like a 2 year rotation before changes while having the monsters take different changes every year. Idea being its the same map from 2024-2026, but during 2025 they are Noxian warbeasts like you suggested instead of void corrupted monsters, then in 2026 a slight change to the map with Shuriman ascended monsters

I am a player that mainly plays ranked league, and mostly watch competitive League content, and I think the new "goofy" rift mechanic is a good change for every League player.
The new mechanic absolutely has a place in competitive League. We already have Neeko which is 10 times goofier than the rift mechanic. In fact, Neeko's mechanic is used often in pro play. I don't think the new rift mechanic is going to be as powerful as Neeko's mechanic, I think it's an awesome addition that competitive players can use to win games creatively
I also want to thank Necrit for keeping Riot in check. I don't think Necrit's video was the determining factor for new Summoner rift changes, I do think they did play a big part in it. Thank you for holding the League team accountable. Love your videos.
Exactly. I like to think about it how people say high-level fortnite players are terrifying. Theres SO much goofy crap in that game and they use that goofy shit creatively on the fly to make crazy plays with like dozens of people making fucking skyscrapers in front of you lmfao. Honestly i feel like adding goofy creative mechanics will force players to be more adaptive which is a skill in of itself too. And a damn good one to have
Removal of mythics and the new bushes look good, now balance the game and remove the trolls and league will be fun again
Ironically one the best things to happen in bot lane, making blue side have gank entrances is a god send, they already had the bush advantage too
As a cho'gath main, I wonder if the void grubs will count as epic monster ult stacks or if they get counted as the minion/non champion ult stacks
to be honest i had so much fun playing new map and monsters on pbe this will be amazing season for mages and offmeta tank supports

I think the event that has the Void theme will be about a crack in the dimension where unspeakable void monsters will flood out of Runtera -- friends and foes would need to team up to push back the horde of back into the void.

What makes competitive fun to watch also makes league fun to play, the all stars are the FUNNEST to watch and it is exactly what is fun for us to play.

League is fun to me because of its competitive nature. I love the changes, favorite part being the items and do feel the map needed a change but changing the map every year would be too much. To keep things competetive, I agree large changes should be far apart perhaps every 3 or so years.
Don't worry Necrit, Riot will strip the new additions out of their fun soon.

If they won't do a Void event, they could at least take the opportunity to make Summoner's Rift canon.
They wouldn't even need to change the map's name. It just needs a new purpose.
Instead of being an artificial location in that Freljord/Demacia/Noxus border, it could be placed in Icathia. Suddenly, the name Summoner's Rift makes a lot more sense, considering the Icathian mages were the ones who summoned the Void.
Unless they plan to do seasonal changes, in which case then we could get to see new animals and monsters related to each region. But it would also be more difficult to make each map fit with the pre-established lore.
You have no idea how much I've missed quests.
Back in the old days we had The War of Three Sisters so if any two of Lissandra, Ashe or Sejuani were in the game and on opposing teams we got prompted to kill the other and take our crown.
There was also the Thresh, Senna, Lucian quest (Though I think thats still technically in the game?) that gave you bonus stats for whoever won their 1v1.
The more quests the better imo, additional obj's in the game is never a bad thing.

I totally agree with the reddit post saying that riding shelly is unnecessary-- but that's exactly why it's fun. In ranked, most people are probably just going to drop the rift herald in lane and let it smash a tower or two like usual because that way it's idiot-proof. Riding it, however, is not only a silly/goofy mechanic but also has some fun outplay/surprise potential. It's just gonna be for the players who want a little bit of novelty in their games, and it being like that is perfect.
They shouldn't change Infernal Rift imo,the current one actually affects the map like the other 3 "elemental" drakes. The changes being made to it makes it feel more like 2 "Tech" drakes instead
I hope they make the missions more impactful. If Xayah and Rakan can have their abilities enhanced when used as a duo, LoL can make other Champions' Quests more impactful.
Took i couple years break from league since ive been playing it since Volibear came out but probably gonna start playing a bit more now that some big changes are happening, makes the game feel more alive rather 'oh boy item changes only'

I love the map changes from what I have seen.
My only gripe is that I wish the bushes on the sides of mid didn't look so odd. They are in an unnatural straight line, which was the case before but with these changes, it looks even more out of place

Highly unlikely, but willing to call it. There's no void event because it'll be an Icathia event. Jax' and Bel'veth's quest stands out to me. Maybe even Ixtal could be involved?

The "quests" for killing champs has been done already for Wild Rift. Except they call it "Nemesis Duel." It gives either champ a permanent buff for the rest of the match. For example, Nasus's Q becomes AOE damage and Renekton's Ult makes him have infinite fury throughout its duration
