- Today we showcase this beautiful 1994 MKIV Supra built by Tom Barbosa. Tom spent a little over a year transforming this mostly stock supra into a 1100 horse power street car. Converting it from a stock engine, twin-turbo set-up, to a built engine, single turbo car. Taking advantage of the off-the-shelf Powerhouse Racing selection of parts Tom was able to skip through custom fabrication and any compatibly issues. The result is a clean engine bay, with matching materials and finishes on all the parts. To top it all off this supra is equipped with a Motec M150 and tuned by Jay Meagher. A Supra build story Never gets old... My Mk3 build is pretty amazing itself. Yes the photo is my engine. Mkiv Supra's will always be legendary no matter what new comes out. I own 4 2j's. Best engine on the planet hands down!💯

Why do 1750 and not go 2150cc since it’s twin injectors?
The 1050cc injectors are the primarys and make for excellent driveability. With the 1750s as the secondaries they provide all the fuel needed for the HP goals when used in conjunction with the 1050s. Over 2750cc in total.

I got a 98 30k mile twin turbo for $40k ... mint oem condition, never touched, never upgraded.

How is this the perfect daily if it doesn't come on boost until after 5k? In first gear thats already over the speed limit?
That’s how single big turbo 6 cylinder turbo engines are tq all hp and rpm. Just part of the game with a big single on a engine that doesn’t make power out of boost. It’s still a fast car .
I see we're using the term "daily driver" very loosely here
