Pretty clever, seeing Oswald nearly subvert the "You don't fall till you know you will" gag, just barely got back to the cliff. :D Also, Plane Dogs and removable ears, this toon has everything! =) Weird how he looks totally different in the opening card, which is good, because that look is horrifying. XD

@LittleHieuy This is not Peg Leg Pete's first appearence. He appeared beofre in the Alice Comedies. He's Disney's longest reacurring character.
I think this was an edit of the original version that Disney made with sound effects added when Universal stol- ahem, I mean had when Disney left.
The Lobster Films print is known to exist
Looking at the title card, I'm assuming it's a early rerelease of some kind since there's no way that's the original title card.
Oh 100 percent not the original. The uploads were from VHS rips that sank into the inky void of the internet a few years back.
The 1932 sound reissue of The Ocean Hop (1927) is from Arte Cartoon Factory with german subtitles in VHS version
really cool, If I am not mistaken, I believe this is the frst cartoon to have a character defy gravity. Am I right?
3:03 here we can see mickey as one of oswald's sidekicks.
