    Shady Harbor is our home port. We had the pleasure of meeting Mark at the pool on our way to our boat from dinner. It was so nice finally meeting someone we follow on TH-cam. We look forward to seeing your videos every week.

      @ Yes we had just bought our 36foot Mainship. We suggested you stop in Waterford at the free docks.

    The fun of traveling (virtually) with the Boomershines continues! I love sightseeing on the Hudson while sitting here in my PJs and not having to handle a single dockline or stress over wind. 😂 It’s true that we ‘up north’ boaters have to go through a lot to haul out in the fall and launch/commission in the spring, but there are lots of benefits: The boat is covered and protected for half the year, we have several months of ‘down time’ where we can tackle a long list of boat projects, we can pause the Starlink subscription for 6 or 7 months (big $aving$!), and we can start off the next season with renewed enthusiasm and excitement. So, the juice is worth the squeeze. 👍

    Taking in sunsets/rises from the bow off your own yacht while touring half of our great nation is absolute, total GOALS!!!
    Captain Mark, "I always win." Should definitely have been followed by the DJ Khaled hit. Just sayin' Copyright be D@&ned.
    Love the drive in. Good job nailing down the opening night Mom!

    You’ve had so many marvelous marinas along your journey. That was so nice of the marina to let you use their courtesy vehicle. We have an obsolete IntelliLan on our Fleming as well. My dome seems smaller than yours and I understand it was for TV. Maybe I’ll remove mine as it will only get harder to do over time. Docks were taken up for winter! OMG, Ice, what is that? 😄 Nice to see the kitties get a walk.

    1987. The year I had my first child. That boat has aged much better than me 😉That boat has been loved. I like that people take care of what they have. And the birds on the Hudson would make me die of happiness. So cool!

    We live in Coxsackie, just north of the second lighthouse in this video. Just behind that lighthouse, on the Athens Middleground island, that beach you see is freakin’ epic for a beach party or a sunbathe. Just be advised, if you’re paddling, do it at slacktide so that when the tide goes in or out, it pushes you up or down in the direction you want to go! Picking your day based on the tide charts is mandatory for paddling on the Hudson!

That's always hope it's been done here also ok a little different so when the videos tart out yuns are like 2 up beat teenager, and then when yuns start to show the boat and everything it's funny cause the voices change and at this time they kinda sound like Horn Starts lol. Just joking

      @@TokisFishingPlanet Thanks for the comment! It is definitely a passion project for the hours of editing involved. Yes. You are correct we are land based now… for now. You are also correct in that we started all of this editing as a format for the kids to relive the adventure years from now. We posted a few episodes years ago for friends and it has grown into this amazing community. Happy to have you aboard. The cats thank you for the shout out. Meow.

    Did Mark find out what was wrong with the stern thruster? BTW Cinda, you are hilarious!

    • @TheBoomershines
      @TheBoomershines  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks for asking! It turns out when inspected from inside the boat at the transom I could see the problem. The thruster itself is basically just a semi truck starter motor with the polarity determining if the motor turns left or right. The actual cast casing of the whole unit was cracked. The thruster still worked but out of caution we stopped using it. Truly SeaSHINE was so powerful with huge rudders the rear thruster wasn’t needed. I learned to walk her side ways just by splitting throttles and modulating the front thruster. ⚓️Mark

    Hold up 2022?

    • @TheBoomershines
      @TheBoomershines  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yup. We completed the loop late summer 2023. Then my Dad had a massive stroke a couple weeks after we got home :(. Then Mark's Dad passed away a couple months after that :( :(. We simply didn't have an extra 10 - 15 hours a week to edit until last spring when we started posting this series. We keep thinking we will get better and faster at editing, but it is still taking at least 10 hours to edit each video. Probably not the best use of our free time but hopefully you are enjoying the videos.
