T-Pain in recent years has made it his mission to show people he can SING HIS ASS OFF. He's an artist, a singer, songwriter, and producer. He's not just "the autotune guy" and it's his mission to show everyone. This whole concert is great, he covers Tennessee Whiskey, That's Life, A change is gonna come, Crazy, and a great version of Buy you a drank to close out the show. Dude is talented.
He also drifts now. I follow a few youtube drift guys and hes been prity present in that scene last few years. He held his own event last summer. Really cool turn out
The whole Concert was a master class of musicianship and music transitions from genre to genre. Hats of to the whole band. One of my favorite performances!!!!
I always love watching the expression on people's faces as they listen to this song for the very first time. It's always the exact same reaction every time!
Your smile the whole time he was singing! T-Pain's NPR Tiny Desk concert is also a great example of him no longer being the auto tune guy; blew my mind the first time I heard it
Enjoyed your reaction video. Huge Black Sabbath fan as I grew up on the holy trinity of British metal (Black Sabbath, Deep Purple & Led Zeppelin) that invaded the US in the late sixties that influenced so many. Just an incredible cover by T-Pain and that band is off the hook. Music can unite us all and the message of that song will always be true.
Fun fact: The guy on guitar is Curt Chambers who used to front a band from Philly called Franklin Bridge (he sings too). They once were on a short lived TV show called "The Next Great American Rock Band". They infused funk, soul, and Hip Hop into rock covers...much like you hear in this. He's backed to pain in concert as well as Eminem, Rhianna, Alicia Keys, Dr. Dre, and Jay Z.
Fun fact, him popping David Draiman's signature vocal technique from "Down with the Sickness is a nod to Disturbed for also being a metal band that has a lot of anti-war rhetoric. System Of A Down, Metallica, Simon and Garfunkel, Black Sabbath, Led Zepplin, and Disturbed are all very similar in their lyrics being protest lyrics against war.
This was LIT! T Pain was amazing, and the rest of the band smoked. Every time I want to single out one member of the band, I'm like no man, they're all SICK! This was so wild!
P.S. Yep, it was fricking brilliant. Brother Guitar Player was outstanding. Love the way he turned it into a hymn coming around 3rd, and what I feel is more a nod to Vernon Reid rather than Tony Iommi, the late-inning solo was fantastic. Loved this take on the old classic.
I would love to click like on this video, but it's at 666 likes, and that is the most Black Sabbath number ever. Gonna wait a bit in case someone else decides to wreck that, lol. I saw a clip of T-Pain's War Pigs cover on Facebook this evening and I sped to TH-cam to watch the whole thing.
T-Pain has that voice that to me sounds like a Gospel singer but can sing everything. like his voice just sounds like he could convert people to a religion just based on the tone of it.
Yeah, I already thought T-Pain was cool with his collab with The Lonely Island, but after this song I really respected him as a singer. He killed this, 100%, along with the rest of the band!
T-Pain has always been able to sing this way. Most ppl don’t realize it. Just think of Auto Tune bc he made it popular again after it was created for Cher. Dude has a beautiful voice. Check out his other covers and non auto tune songs. You won’t regret it.
This was fantastic! Never heard of T Pain before. He sounded great, the band sounded great. I'm just wondering why he left the stage before the song was over.
When Ozzy called this the best cover it was the whole freakin band! They killed it! It's kinda thier song now.... Like Johnny cash and Hurt..T-pain has never been the autotune guy talent wise
Call me crazy, but I kept getting shades of Desmond Dekker and the Aces - Israelite, for some reason. T Pain slammed this and the band did a Hell of a job.
It was a unique take on the song and although I like the original better. Him and the band. The whole band did a great job. Not my favorite, but no complaints and much respect for them. I bet 99% of the audience had no idea what this song was.

Amen
As a metal head, TPain deserves all the accolades for this one. He nailed it epically.
Ozzy himself watched this and praised T-Pain on the cover. The ultimate co-sign.
The whole Concert was a master class of musicianship and music transitions from genre to genre. Hats of to the whole band. One of my favorite performances!!!!
This whole karaoke night was wild. Every time T pain does these he always gets people off guard 😂 he can SANG
I always love watching the expression on people's faces as they listen to this song for the very first time. It's always the exact same reaction every time!

Letting the band steal the show at the end there was a class act
He gives all that he does his 100%.
He became a twitch streamer and made one of the best twitch intros ever made

This concert made me put real respect on T-Pain's name.
TPain and the whole band absolutely killed this and people say TPain can't sing without auto tune?

Thank you, gonna check him out!
T Pain is so talented. Hes a semi professional driver, singer, and producer

This was LIT! T Pain was amazing, and the rest of the band smoked. Every time I want to single out one member of the band, I'm like no man, they're all SICK! This was so wild!
This comes from an album of covers he made called "On Top of the Covers"
It’s funky! 🎶
This entire show was the live performance of the year for me. Holy crap that band was tight.

And the band was just killing it!!
Who knew T had this on him.... As a metal guy I must say I am impressed
Way to write a headline, Mr Boyd. Got me in the door. I gotta say, I'm looking forward to this.
T-Pain was always an icon, but as the years go by, he continues to prove that to a higher and higher degree.
Holy shit, T-Pain can sing!
Rhis comment is for the algorithm. You are doing great!
Throw this back to Midnight Special with funk in this version. SICK 🤘🤘 Someone wake Wolfman Jack from the Grave!

On a serious note the War Pigs are alive and well. T Y for this MB M
I was blown away! This was damn good!
Yes...he did pull a Disturbed😂

T pain needs a rock band
Maybe I'm crazy, but he sounds like a combination of Corey Glover and Lenny Kravitz...
Ho yeah Lenny came to my head as well, gosh I love seeing this scene, people vibing and that awesome performance
Absolutely love this cover. TPain was fantastic as were every single one of the musicians.❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
This has gone on a play
I would love to click like on this video, but it's at 666 likes, and that is the most Black Sabbath number ever. Gonna wait a bit in case someone else decides to wreck that, lol.

This is one of my favorite song and T-pain made a really good cover, in my opinion. Excellent like always Boyd 💪
That's some crazy guitar work !!
The musicality and production is on point!
That was AWESOME!!!
Wow! Heard the Tennessee whiskey tpain cover. This was amazing. That electric guitar player top notch.
His NPR tiny desk sets are absolutely amazing as well and worth a watch. I believe there are two of them
Awesome reaction. You should check out TPains version of Tennessee Whiskey
Guitarist is Curt Chambers

T-Pain has that voice that to me sounds like a Gospel singer but can sing everything. like his voice just sounds like he could convert people to a religion just based on the tone of it.

Auto tune wasn’t created for Cher she was just the first mainstream artist to use it in a hit song
This whole album was great!
this whole live set was AMAZING. drop the needle anywhere
Wow!!!
Nice!
Bill ward is one of the greatest drummers in history i think anyone that can pull off warpigs is an honor to bill
T-Pain - Tennessee Whiskey
I know I'm late to this reaction but if you haven't seen it, check out TPains Tiny Desk concert.
holy crap he absolutly killed that cover, I can see why ozzy said its the best.
Even if it's just on your own time, you need to watch this whole set.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I feel like when we watched Denzel Curry covers Rage Against The Machine 'Bulls On Parade' for Like A Version 🤘😎
This was fantastic! Never heard of T Pain before. He sounded great, the band sounded great. I'm just wondering why he left the stage before the song was over.
To let the musicians take the spotlight

Please do these UGK songs. You will LOVE them. Very conscious truthful, relatable, and real.

WTF?!? I don't know this version of Mr. T-Pain. I only know the autotuned stripper rap dude. This was amazing!
When Ozzy called this the best cover it was the whole freakin band! They killed it! It's kinda thier song now.... Like Johnny cash and Hurt..T-pain has never been the autotune guy talent wise
Hi do you do payed requests?
Ozzy co-signed it as the best cover to date.
Btw this entire live show was lit
The best Ozzy cover is "Changes" by Charles Bradley
If you didn't know better you'd be totally ok thinking this was T-Pain's own track that's how good it is
Not bad
Call me crazy, but I kept getting shades of Desmond Dekker and the Aces - Israelite, for some reason.
T Pain slammed this and the band did a Hell of a job.
Very A Propos this song
You here the studio version of this song, there is some auto tune...this live version I've never heard or seen. Blew me away!!!
My humble opinion, with the exception of Teddy Swims, T-pain does the best covers ever.
The drummer is good, but he is no Bill Ward. Great cover all the same.
Zack brown band did an amazing war pigs cover on the conan obrien show and didnt countryfy it
It was a unique take on the song and although I like the original better. Him and the band. The whole band did a great job. Not my favorite, but no complaints and much respect for them.
I bet 99% of the audience had no idea what this song was.
