Nice tips regarding tonearm cable entanglement. Side bias, aka anti-skate, is applied to counteract the inward skating force generated by the stylus tracing the record's groove in a tonearm of radial geometry. A fixed pivot point with an offset angled headshell sets up this centripetal force. This skating is a dynamic force.
Most manufactures supply oil but at a stupid price for 4ml. I have used 80w/90w mineral gear oil, I bought a 1ltr bottle from a local cheap shop for £5 it will cover 1000's of services and still be loads left when I am long gone. I have used same rating since 1980 when I bought my first real deck a Thorens TD 160, have also used it in Lp12 's , Systemdeks, Manticore, Michel gyro, and a couple of duals too along he way, just done my 1984 Rega planna 3 and bought a new bottle as couldn't find the old one due to house move. Comma EP80w/90w GL4 is what I just bought, but all manufactures sell it price varies by name.
