This was the only gen Nissan quest to be built in Japan and on the same chassis and shares the same style as the Nissan ELgrand minivan that is in Japan
I've been driving mine for 3 months now and it is AWESOME ! Everything about it it's perfect. I would recommend this minivan over the Sienna and Odesy any day
Very informative review. I'm very happy with my '14 LE. 72k trouble free miles. The CVT takes some getting used to, but it's great on the highway when I need to pass another vehicle. No downshift delay and this baby moves! The ride is as smooth as a fine European sedan. Sad to see Nissan discontinued the Quest. I'd surely buy another!
Great video as always Kyle. I've been subbed from the beginning and you've come quite a way. This is probably my favorite minivan now! Keep up the good work!
We should have these in Europe, Nissan sure knows how to make cars. My mom has a Nissan Qashqai wich is basiclly a slightly smaller Rogue. Very pleasant car.
This is one of the best presentations I've ever seen. So much more detail than one can ever from a visit to a dealership with a quick test drive. I've been looking at this type of vehicle but am sold more now than ever. Great job!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, OMG! Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You! Aaaah, Lol, I've Been Waiting For A In Depth Long Tour Video Like This For Sooooo Long! Your The Best Kyle! :DD Lovedd The Video! (:
I wonder how the new Chrysler Pacifica competes with this. My sis has this but I went Honda and now I'm looking at the new Chrysler to replace it. But I hear the Quest has transmission problems, well my sister's does anyway. Very weird to drive the Quest after my Odyssey. It feels heavy, bulky really.
Great video great Channel I really appreciate how you going to great detail showing all the features on each vehicle can you please start saying the suggested retail price in all your videos please I would really appreciate that. You have a good day
It kinds of reminds me of a Nissan Cube from the back. I don't personally like the boxy style or vans for that matter, but this one is nicely equipped inside for sure.
This van is alright looking, but it's based off it's sibling, the Elgrand, but the Elgrand has a better look to me in my opinion. But also the thing that makes this van different is that it's built in Japan as well. The old Quest was exclusively sold and built in the U.S.
@UInACrash vans like this are over 40k because they are loaded to the max with creature-comforts like leather, power everything, sunroof, navigation, DVD entertainment, robust V6 engine, premium sound system(ie JBL, Bose, etc.) When you start adding all that stuff together, you approach the 40k mark quite easily. These aren't the pos stripped-down vans of the 1990's.
@datpimpinboy The precat disintegrates and shoots back into the combustion chamber, thrashing the oil rings which allows oil to be consumed at a very rapid rate. So could you call it negligence? Well perhaps, but all the oil could be burned off in one single long trip. Do you usually pull over to the side of the road halfway through your drive to check the oil in your car? It's a problem with the engine's design.
Because they want to make money not lose money. There's no market for a luxury minivan. If there were. Honda or Toyota would have done it already. A decked out Sienna, Odessy, Pacifica, or Sedona these days pushes 50k, that's luxury enough for most people.
@E90PAT He dubbed that part, because he probably did not know that information at the time he did the video. He probably read that information online, and added it into the video to tell you about it.
just out of curiosity, what happens if say your driving down the highway, and you have the keyfob sitting in a cupholder or something, and someone decides to be an ass and toss the key right out the window? does the car shut down??
@Lexuslover123 Maybe to you, but I actually liked the styling cues of the other one , this one is just too boxy, at least you can agree with me on that. I'm only talking about exterior...Interior I would prefer this one.
@datpimpinboy I think CVTs have potential. Obviously some people will never like them but a lot of people won't care/notice a change from an automatic. They just need to cut the power loses (parasitic loss in the system due to friction, moving parts) and make them better. I know you say that you know people with Nissan CVTs but I still maintain that the Nissan CVTs aren't made or designed well from what I've seen. And I wouldn't call complete engine failure at 100k miles a "minor problem" XD
I definitly like the styling of this generation over the previous one. The last ons one just didn't look right in my eye. This one looks very sporty and has a very nice and aggresive stance that looks good.
My mom had an Infiniti M35 (infiniti's are made by nissan) it was an 08 model and the voice recognition system SUCKED it would never understand a word she said, but now i guess the system actually works now, thanks nissan
