Still hoping to see a Red Sox All-Speed Team for one game in 2025, and they'll need to keep Wong to pull that off. They could do it with Kristian Campbell playing 3B and Romy Gonzalez playing first. Then rounding things out with Hamilton, Story, Duran, Rafaela, Abreu, and Anthony. Abreu would be the "slow" one with his 55 percentile running speed, but he did manage 8 steals last year.

Bregman absolutely changes everything. I don't think Crawford makes no sense again you ahve much more legitimate depth this year than you have had in years past
I floated this in the stream last night, but Masa, Wilyer, Sogard and Cash for Jeferson Quero and Rhys Hoskins. I'd amend that to Masa, Wilyer, and Hamilton plus salary relief for Quero, Hoskins, and Bryan Hudson. You get a high leverage reliever, and a catcher with high upside that the Brewers don't need because of Contreras. Hoskins is a good clubhouse guy, which the Red Sox need, and he could spend most of his time at DH if Masa is sent back in the deal. He can play 1B if the Sox really want to go right-handed some nights. He also has a mutual option that the Red Sox could buy out after 2025 if they want to pursue Vladdy

I agree with the names, I would think Casas is still a good chance as we keep hearing that the Sox are not calling people to seek a trade, but they are listening, until he gets signed long term he could bring you back something as part of a big trade. I think you probably won't see anything until the end of training camp so they can see if Anthony or Campbell or Mayer are close to making the team. I stoped the video at the beginning of Wilyer because I’m hoping we are not not not going to start the trade Duran bus again ….pushing play now …ok good I think Wyler is very valuable rookie winning the gold glove! Cannon for an arm. Too small of a sample size vs lefty’s to judge him…I could see a scenario where he starts in right plays the first half does well ups his value even more then is moved at the break for someone really cool in turn making room for Anthony.
Now Nightingale is saying the Stros are still interested in Bregman. With Pressley going to Cubs, maybe Stros sign Bregman and then Sox could trade Wilyer (leftie) for Parades to be infield rightie Rover
Everything looks great on paper for the Red Sox. There's ONE thing that worries me.....injuries. The last 2 or 3 seasons have been riddled with LOTS of guys going down too early...Example First 3 weeks of spring training in 24 and Casas at the end of April. Too many guys out the first 30 games of the season. Red sox strength and conditioning coach needs to make sure the players stay as healthy as possible . No one on the DL for more than 15 games JMO
I think if we sign Bregman, Grissom could get traded. As for Wong, I see him in a package with say Abreu and Crawford to go get another veteran bat. Arenado is a guy we may trade for and Abreu could interest the Cardinals.....Hamilton is getting time in the OF. If he proves capable, I could actually see Rafaela traded....love to move Masa say to the A's or Angels....Another good video Corbin 👏👏👏
Why would you want to trade Wong after you just traded your star catching prospect? Are you taking drugs? They’re probably gonna keep all the rookies down in the minor leagues like they normally do to save money on their contract. They did horrendous job this off-season compared to the Dodgers and the Yankees.
Excellent video thanks Corbin! Trading Abreu yes if Anthony & Campbell considered ready despite no major league experience. Risky move. Grissom experience makes him 2B so can move Hamilton. Should Wong be traded with no experienced replacement? Risky move. Crawford is an interesting one. He has improved but unless 6 man rotation becomes long reliever/spot starter/trade bait. Yoshida could be moved for prospect but Redsox must take on most of the contract. Casas should not be traded for anyone except Guerrero in an epic deal that is a fantasy.
Abreu would be a great platoon split with Randall Grichuk who last year mashed to the tune of .291/.348/.528 for OPS+ of 139. Rob Refnsyder also has good numbers against lefties, but his contract is very team friendly so the Sox could move him for a decent prospect.
Hear me out... i LOVE this... we have SO MANY INF we have no space for EVERY ONE. We need space for Kristian Campbell and Meyer.... On top of already having Story, Devers, and Casas and If we add Bregeman... oh did i mention we ALSO have Vaughn Grissom. We cannot KEEP all of these INF and hamilton with his speed had VALUE. Its not crazy Corbin.
They actually could keep them for a while because every position player on the roster except for Devers, Story, and Refsnyder has remaining minor league options. Though I'm sure some of these players would be grumpy to see them used at this point.
It’s not whether Triston is an average or above average player, but that his player value is higher than what he is paid for the next few years. Same for many of the pre-arb and first year arb players
Yoshida gets traded only if Boston agrees to pay for some of his contract. If I'm the GM, I'd sign Alonso for 5 yrs, then move Casas, Crawford and Yoshida for Arenado and Helsley or zig left when everyone is thinking right and sign FA starter Flaherty or trade for Cease (add Abreu) or just sign Bregman for four years and be done with it. I don't like the idea of trading Hamilton. He's a .250 hitter with some pop and plus-plus speed, average glove middle infielder. Solid bench player, but that's me. I'd also prefer Cedanne on the bench as a super sub and start Anthony in the OF.
The only way I'd move Casas is if it was to bring back Jared Jones. Casas, Crawford and Masa for Jones and Bednar. It would be a great trade for both teams. Jones will be an ace and Casas and Masa would be the Pirates best hitters
@@MarcWhite-s3uI’m glad you’re not the GM. You’d have offered Casas $700 million extension for all the things he’s never done but you hope he will. And you’d be happy with another last place finish.
I'm actually surprised Abreau hasn't been traded already. They have a very crowded outfield. However if the plan is to have Anthony and Campbell start in the minors they have to keep Abreau but he still needs to moved as soon as possible. Crawford is the other one likely to be dealt. As you pointed out Masa can't be moved and Cases shouldn't be moved. Hopefully they'll make some moves soon I'm starting to get impatient ⚾
If Vladdy doesn't sign a extension and if Yoshi has a strong start to the season I would trade Yoshi at the trade deadline and gear up to sign Vladdy in 2026
But there will certainly be injuries in the first few months, so it's likely there's enough playing time for everyone currently on the roster plus Roman and Campbell
All of these guys still have a ton of control there’s no reason to sell low because of roster crowding. They could be moved in a bigger deal at the deadline or next offseason if more players force their way onto the roster. Keeping my eye on the Skubal situation in Detroit 👀. They would want ML talent, have a ton of arms, can’t come to an agreement on an extension. Could be a perfect, excess for excess win win trade for both teams
@ when you’re talking about moving Abreu or Kutter for a leverage reliever that’s when I think you’re selling low. I thought a Kutter/Abreu was at least starting point for crochet deal (they went for a prospect package instead) but if a win now team wants cheap upgrades at multiple positions we could trade our ponies in for a horse. Given how most teams don’t straight sell at the deadline anymore they more or less retool/reconfigure.
Did you hear from the Red Sox organization that they tried to attach Casas’s name to Yoshida? Or are you just going by some kind of report that you heard?
Well thought out. Agree the Sox are going to have to start thinning the herd at some point. At some point they will have to stop hoarding young talent and filling holes on the MLB roster
Yoshida is a pro. If he can get healthy, I think people will be pretty happy with his production. He is a bad fit for this roster however, and moving him makes a lot of sense. I just don't see how that happens straight up. Packaged with someone else and a TON of cash, maybe.... Casas, to me, is in a prove it year. Gonna need some real production and need to stay healthy. If he doesn't perform, he will be gone next offseason, as I don't think they have a lot of patience with him. If Abreu's value is up because of his solid campaign and gold glove, I think they should strongly consider dealing him. I just do not see him being great at Fenway park being a pull lefty, with bad splits. Roman Anthony is knocking... trade deadline is a good call. Connor Wong? Who is gonna catch? With his athleticism and durability.... and 2 totally unproven guys were picked up... I don't see this. Crawford, aside from being durable, to me is highly expendable. If he can figure out how to stop giving up so many homers, he'd be worth hanging on to. I'm with Corbin on this one again - trade deadline is a good call. David Hamilton.... I would actually hate to see the Sox trade him. His versatility, and that SPEED... To me he seems like the perfect utility guy you play frequently to spell guys or slide in case of injury. That said, being lefty is hard right now. Sogard should not be occupying a spot if Hamilton is not. Romy is another guy, I liked what I saw from him in very limited work last year, but with Campbell and Grissom around too, it seems like a lot of redundancy. Josh Winckowski would be my addon. I think we have seen enough of a sample size that I would not mind seeing him gone. Nice post Corbin!
Good thoughts. I think Winck is a solid option as well. I will say I think we may be overvaluing Hamilton based on speed alone. Sogard has shown (in small sample) that he can do literally everything better but as a switch hitter.
Trade Abreu & Casas for Tatis Jr. The guy is a 5 tool explosive talent who is young, has a long term contract in place and he's a versatile guy who can play infield or outfield. The Padres could lower their payroll and potentially get better in the process. The Red Sox would get a guy who's potentially an mvp candidate. If we got Tatis Jr. we would forget about Bregman or Correa in 2 seconds.
If February 18th rolls around and Vlad isnt extended, he's going to become available. Vlad set the 18th as a deadline for an extension. With the Mets chirping at Pete Alonso camp that theyre inquiring in on Vlad better increase urgency with our front office to get in on Vlad stat. We don't want to get in on a battle of money with the Mets next offseason. Trade for Vlad AND an extension soon following using Casas, kutter crawford and another piece to the Jays to land him.
I don’t trust the Red Sox to make a good trade and I also think Grissomis like a glass player always gonna be hurt and I wouldn’t trade Wong And I wouldn’t give a Abreau away Took a long time to find a first baseman. I hate to see them do that with a catching also by trading Wong. I don’t trust the Red Sox at all. I’d rather they did nothing.
atp trade fricking masa and abreu for that hallsley dude. we need a damn reliever/closer and clearly this clown ownership doesnt wanna spend some damn money. doesnt miami have some solid relievers left? if so send krawford over there
Every one has gotten better we have not we signed a former pitcher who has not been the same pitcher in 2 years yes crochet he had one good year Chapman 37 Hendricks 37 we have nothing to improve our defense no right handed bat you think all these projected stars we supposedly have are going to be elite major league players well they got us all fooled if one lives up to their potential we will be lucky 4th place finish with maybe 84 wins book it
Profar just signed with Atlanta and we have done nothing same old nonsense with this team if anyone in Red Sox nation thinks we actually are go to be a legit contender to win the NL east your all delusional
Definitely trade Grissom Yoshida for whatever you can get minors who cares I want Christian Campbell at second and it’s up to him to lose the job What makes you think Grissom‘s gonna be a great player or a good player? I think he’s gonna be on the DL all the time Massa dump him just to make room otherwise this team is gonna make some bad moves. I can feel it. positions why would you wanna trade Casas and Wong. It took him so long to find somebody to play those positions. Also, why would you want to trade profit for somebody else’s junk picture? I don’t think there’s anything wrong with him. This organizations are screwed up. They should assign a free agent picture and kept their catcher I’ll give them somebody else to sweeten the deal. I hope they don’t give away Abreau. I just think about it making trades. They think somebody else’s junk is gonna be better than what we have Grissom forget about him or do you think the Braves traded him?
Not that it apply’s to this video. But we can all do good bye to Alex Bergman. As it was fun to finely get excited about the Sox’s doing something. They have let use down again as fans. This nickel and dimming that there doing is just not fare to the millions who spending time and money on there favorite team. Now, do I think they are way better this season yes. They have fixed the starting rotation but we still need help in the bullpen. Meaning a true closer and we need a right handed bat. Who knows who they will get. But as we all know. 2025 is a bust. Before the season as even started, why do I say this. Do you think that Redsox’s are even close to winning the world Series? Corbin, please try in ur next post to go over another let down season and who will be joining the team now? Meaning a true closer and right handed bat. Thank you for the vent ✊🏻
@ I don’t have an answer right now. I know they have a crowded middle infield and the outfield is stacked. So they’re going to have to move guys. I just hate hearing Wilyer’s name come up. I think he has the potential to be great. Wong is another. When Teel was dealt, I figured they were going to have to stick with Connor in at least a platoon situation. I just hate the idea of them being stuck with either of the Catchers they’ve brought in.
Not for nothing but the red sox owners are full of it they played us with Soto and saying there going to spend money and signed a bunch of maybes the Yankees them look stupid at least they spent money to better there team and this hurts saying this but the Sox Are CHEAP.
Wow dude Narvaez mediocre at best, the guy can't hit there is a reason that the evil empire traded him., best I'm hoping is that they could finish ahead of Toronto and Rays.
Okay, I have a couple of swing & misses.. I thought the Yankees would fade.. they didn't.. but, they did eventually implode in game five. My take on Casas'.. he just needs more at bats against major league pitching.. gains more experience.
None of these things are going to happen stop talking about it pitchers and catchers 3 weeks it’s wasted talking nothing is going to happen end of story
Your nuts! Don't know nuthn' about baseball. I follow Casas' approach/swing in the batters box. He has a very, very good swing. He just needs more experience facing major league pitching. Same with Abreu.. just leave them alone.. they will figure it out.
As are you. This is a repeat post, of yours about Casas. Also, don't ignore the " Red Sox Fan Favorite Factor" He's a great player and is a likely "40-40" man, @ a ,290+ batting average. Also, the Red Sox have a lot of dam good hitters who can easily find the Geen Monster.
Corbin, you are a sick twisted individual if you think HAMILTON should be traded. Why ship out the fastest man on the base path? Put Campbell at SS/1B, Hamilton at 2B. Mayer to SS/2B, if Devers DHs, Mayer could play 3B. Send Trevor Story to Colorado. They are interested in a reunion. I'd rather move Blaze Jordan and Vaughn Grissom than David Hamilton. Your biggest gripe about him was defensive errors, which he had a few. He wasnt leading the team in errors. He had .290 by the All Star game. Keep him.
I love Hamilton too and I heard the Sox are giving him time in the OF. If Hamilton proves capable in the OF, it would open an opportunity to trade Rafaela. Ceddanne is signed to a team friendly deal which makes him tradeable to a small market team.....

Too small of a sample size vs lefty’s to judge him…I could see a scenario where he starts in right plays the first half does well ups his value even more then is moved at the break for someone really cool in turn making room for Anthony.
lol no no we have officially hopped off the “they may trade Duran train”
Now Nightingale is saying the Stros are still interested in Bregman.
With Pressley going to Cubs, maybe Stros sign Bregman and then Sox could trade Wilyer (leftie) for Parades to be infield rightie Rover
Not going to the cubs. Nightingale was proven wrong
I think the Sox should stand pat, they just need to drive up value for Masa, Hamilton, and Abreu.
Totally fair. I will say I don't think Hamilton or Abreus value is particularly low right now
I think if we sign Bregman, Grissom could get traded. As for Wong, I see him in a package with say Abreu and Crawford to go get another veteran bat. Arenado is a guy we may trade for and Abreu could interest the Cardinals.....Hamilton is getting time in the OF. If he proves capable, I could actually see Rafaela traded....love to move Masa say to the A's or Angels....Another good video Corbin 👏👏👏
eh idk if Grissom has enough value to be traded right now to be totally honest with you
Why would you want to trade Wong after you just traded your star catching prospect?
Kind of agree with your points here for sure
Yup, sometimes I'm brilliant.
Abreu would be a great platoon split with Randall Grichuk who last year mashed to the tune of .291/.348/.528 for OPS+ of 139. Rob Refnsyder also has good numbers against lefties, but his contract is very team friendly so the Sox could move him for a decent prospect.
Eh I honestly think I rather have Refsynder than Grichuk
No I don't think it's crazy to think Hamilton will be traded at all.
It’s not whether Triston is an average or above average player, but that his player value is higher than what he is paid for the next few years. Same for many of the pre-arb and first year arb players
I will persist with my hot take: Duran. I have this strange feeling about it, like I mentioned on one of the live streams
I thought it at the beginning of the offseason. I really don't think itll happen anymore especially after that deal too
Yoshida gets traded only if Boston agrees to pay for some of his contract.
I'm really glad you're not the GM
@@MarcWhite-s3u No use predicting. Let's just see how it plays out.
Yeah I would be curious what the ranking of likelihood of these would look like honestly
If Vladdy doesn't sign a extension and if Yoshi has a strong start to the season I would trade Yoshi at the trade deadline and gear up to sign Vladdy in 2026
Maybe but you ahve to be able to move him first
But there will certainly be injuries in the first few months, so it's likely there's enough playing time for everyone currently on the roster plus Roman and Campbell
The guy to trade is wilyer Abreu, and put Roman Anthony in Right field , the value of Abreu is high time to trade ⚾
Yeah but that only really works if ANthony is truly ready. May be why they are holding on to him still
Is it crazy to trade Refsyder to open spot for Campbell if he excels in spring training?
Not crazy I just don't think that is the guy they move especially if they hold on to Abreu
Yes, it is crazy
Lol 😅 I need to get some meds!
About the 5 minute mark, I come to comments to say that we could save Abreu for a trade deadline collateral...lol
Yep had the same thoughts huh
Yoshida,Crawford and prospect to St. Louis for Arenado and helsley
Don’t think St Louis wants masa
@@redseatradio We will have to force them 😂🤣
All of these guys still have a ton of control there’s no reason to sell low because of roster crowding.
Don’t think you’re really selling low on any of these guys
@ when you’re talking about moving Abreu or Kutter for a leverage reliever that’s when I think you’re selling low. I thought a Kutter/Abreu was at least starting point for crochet deal (they went for a prospect package instead) but if a win now team wants cheap upgrades at multiple positions we could trade our ponies in for a horse. Given how most teams don’t straight sell at the deadline anymore they more or less retool/reconfigure.
Did you hear from the Red Sox organization that they tried to attach Casas’s name to Yoshida? Or are you just going by some kind of report that you heard?
There have been multiple reports about it from people with knowledge of the Sox
Abreu or yoshida will be traded imo. We have way to many outfielders.
Don’t trade hammy 😭
Well thought out. Agree the Sox are going to have to start thinning the herd at some point. At some point they will have to stop hoarding young talent and filling holes on the MLB roster
Yeah basically need to start thinning it somewhere
Trading yoshida is going to be impossible
yes it is
I say Duran only because he's left handed and only did it for 1 year and Wilyer Abreu has more upside. I love Duran but he has the most trade value
Maybe they could actually sign a player. Bregman will not be a Red Sox next year or any other year
I'd consider casas for vlad with a extension otherwise no way
Boston wouldn't have moved Teal if they weren't happy with Wong
If you get Guerrero long term you trade Casas no question ask.
Sure. Just don’t think that’s gonna happen
Better than talking about who the Sox will trade … talking about who the Sox will trade FOR.
plenty of those on this channel
I hate to say it but I think will smith will be back at the World Series also you think Whitlock will be the closer 7th or 8th inning guy
I think he will be everywhere
Grissom is gonna be a dud. Sorry dude :-(
Abreu for Helsley.
Don't trade Christian Don't trade Casas, Don't trade Casas, Don't trade Christian.. this is INSANE!
I don’t trust the Red Sox to make a good trade and I also think Grissomis like a glass player always gonna be hurt and I wouldn’t trade Wong
And I wouldn’t give a Abreau away
Took a long time to find a first baseman. I hate to see them do that with a catching also by trading Wong. I don’t trust the Red Sox at all. I’d rather they did nothing.
atp trade fricking masa and abreu for that hallsley dude. we need a damn reliever/closer and clearly this clown ownership doesnt wanna spend some damn money. doesnt miami have some solid relievers left? if so send krawford over there
Not a chance
I agree, the red sox aren't going to be a legit contender to win the NL east
Get rid of Hamilton. Keep the rest til the deadline. Bring Bregman. Crawford could definitely be a shiny new toy for another team
Yeah i think Crawford has a lot of value
Guys who can play gold-glove caliber defense in Fenway's right field don't come along everyday. Just sayin'.
Very great point. The funny thing is by the end of the year you may have 3-4 guys who can do that
@@redseatradio That's a nice problem to have, as you said.
Bullshit Red Sox nonsense we did nothing because we don’t want to pay anyone and the season will play out another mediocre season
Definitely trade Grissom Yoshida for whatever you can get minors who cares I want Christian Campbell at second and it’s up to him to lose the job
What makes you think Grissom‘s gonna be a great player or a good player? I think he’s gonna be on the DL all the time Massa dump him just to make room otherwise this team is gonna make some bad moves. I can feel it. positions why would you wanna trade Casas and Wong. It took him so long to find somebody to play those positions. Also, why would you want to trade profit for somebody else’s junk picture? I don’t think there’s anything wrong with him. This organizations are screwed up. They should assign a free agent picture and kept their catcher I’ll give them somebody else to sweeten the deal. I hope they don’t give away Abreau. I just think about it making trades. They think somebody else’s junk is gonna be better than what we have Grissom forget about him or do you think the Braves traded him?
pls dont trade abreu
I hate this list. Sorry, man.
Then what would be yours?
@ I don’t have an answer right now. I know they have a crowded middle infield and the outfield is stacked. So they’re going to have to move guys. I just hate hearing Wilyer’s name come up. I think he has the potential to be great. Wong is another. When Teel was dealt, I figured they were going to have to stick with Connor in at least a platoon situation. I just hate the idea of them being stuck with either of the Catchers they’ve brought in.
@@redseatradio Robbie Hyde’s on Foul Territory. When are we going to get you on ?
Not for nothing but the red sox owners are full of it they played us with Soto and saying there going to spend money and signed a bunch of maybes the Yankees them look stupid at least they spent money to better there team and this hurts saying this but the Sox Are CHEAP.
Wow dude Narvaez mediocre at best, the guy can't hit there is a reason that the evil empire traded him., best I'm hoping is that they could finish ahead of Toronto and Rays.
Oh it was that they had a rookie of the year candidate in Austin Wells and no need for hiim... who knows
Abreu is better then Casas. I will put him in 1st base and trade Casas
Now that is a thought. Not sure I would do it, but an idea to entertain.
That's just dumb, Casas has consideredly more power and offensive ability.
@ in what
Okay, I have a couple of swing & misses..
New York Toronto Baltimore are better than us we’re better than Tampa maybe so we same old story same nonsense
I thought Bregman was closer to 32 years old. Bregman is 30.. I am fine with Bregman signing a free agent contract.
Yeah he’s young
Casas is over rated
Just like Spencer torkelson
Just left handed version
Your nuts! Don't know nuthn' about baseball. I follow Casas' approach/swing in the batters box. He has a very, very good swing. He just needs more experience facing major league pitching. Same with Abreu.. just leave them alone.. they will figure it out.
@ but tel me what he does. You are fan and talk with no info. Anybody can swing. Tell me what he did so far. Always injured from AA, AAA and now
As are you. This is a repeat post, of yours about Casas. Also, don't ignore the
" Red Sox Fan Favorite Factor" He's a great player and is a likely "40-40" man, @ a
,290+ batting average.
Also, the Red Sox have a lot of dam good hitters who can easily find the Geen
Monster.
Keep him.
lol I knew you would hate it
Wow are we going to get a discount to see triple A talent against Major League talent, but I guess we can compete with the Rays
I love Hamilton too and I heard the Sox are giving him time in the OF. If Hamilton proves capable in the OF, it would open an opportunity to trade Rafaela. Ceddanne is signed to a team friendly deal which makes him tradeable to a small market team.....
Casas sucks get rid of him and his nail paint
