Beautiful! Is the hair just over your thumb when you wrap to make them distressed? Your actually forcing your thumb through to separate the hair to create a loop. Thank you. I love your method.

try wrapping tighter on the root/beginning of ur hair (i wrap 3-4 times on the root before starting) it helps .. with ur braid revealing maybe you didn’t wrap close enough or something?
when I wrap the hair around with the water wave hair, how do you not make it slip and slide at the root? When I first started doing Locs it does that and now I use course spring twist hair to do the root then I add the water wave hair on and continue doing the loc, when I try your method it doesn’t stay, the hair is so silky how do I perfect this?
When you added the pieces going back up, how did you attach it to go back up? If that makes any sense. Like did you flip the hair upside down and go back up?

So does it start tho slide at the roots once it gets older because I see alot of people crochet it it at the base but yours seem easier 🤔
