This is such a well crafted tutorial and I appreciate you for explaining things clearly, straight to the point, and being thorough without straying off topic. I get so frustrated by tutorials that overexplain unnecessary things, don't get to the point fast enough, and/or don't explain WHY something is done the way it is, let alone going into all the different options. Going from a basic skeleton, to one without the triangles (and explaining why triangles don't matter), to then adding curve controllers flowed so well into each other. This was really everything I needed to know to get myself most of the way there on this project when I know almost nothing about Maya, so thank you so much!

Are there any recommendations for a more in depth rigging in this style? I've never done this before and this method is EXACTLY what I am looking to learn.
If not, I understand and I appreciate everything you've done!

Hi James, I am a student at Sheridan College currently looking to produce a graduation film for April 2022. I believe animation should take advantage of both 2D and 3D media, and am currently looking to hybridize these techniques for my film. Your videos gave me inspiration and direction to accomplish this and I can't wait to do a test myself. Thank you so much for these!

If our character has a skirt, how would we arrange the joints and rig it for overlapping animation?
