Great vid mate! Keen to see how the Ghost lasts being used in Salt water. Keep us posted if there are any issues, or even better, do a Ghost review in a couple months time.
Thanks Eugene, from all reports so far from the Lowrance boys who have run them a lot longer; they’ve been really solid in the estuaries. I did grab a sacrificial anode for it too, so it’s on there, forgot to call it out! But yes aiming to do a ~6m check in! A saltwater model is coming but it’ll be a while off and we were way overdue for spot lock
@@PaulMalovFishing thanks mate. I am In the market for a new trolling motor in July. Hopefully there is some intel out by then of the salt water version, but agree, its probably a long way off. Will keep watching to see your review.
@Mass Debate it’s been rock solid! Will do a 6/12 month update when the time comes around. But definitely been one of the best upgrades we have done. Just need to get a foot pedal tray installed to have the pedal flat with the rest of the floor and it’ll be perfect! You’re bang on, all ~4 manufacturers have great motors out these days. Will be interesting to see what Power Pole bring out
Congratulations on the new toys, Paul. Can’t wait to see you put it through its paces in a tournament. So much to say about this video, don’t know where to start… Looking forward to the next instalment!
Amazing set up Paul, your dad will rock it in the comps with that. Mate of mine has just bought a Stacer outlaw 429 with exactly the same set up but from Garmin , taking it out or Sunday for a play.
Ripper content as per usual Paul, loving the run through of the new tech. Having a similar set up in the same boat gave me a few pointers I need to probably change on mine particularly the active target switch! Do you know where they sourced it from?
Totally get why fisho's want/ buy the active target equipment. But a q for you Paul, does it kinda take the fun out of a 'surprise' catch? Like we all fish for the enjoyment and what it brings, but for me I'm a bit of on the fence about it all. (Totally understand the fresh water trying to catch cod) becz you can spend days on the water and not catch something.
Hey Brice, totally fair question mate. For me as a bream/perch/snapper/mulloway angler, it’s more about finding them and fishing in areas where I know there’s fish. I’ve always said it about side imaging and this to me is an extension of that/updated technology to help me locate. I don’t “video game” fish like some of the freshwater guys, but still learning this tech. Interestingly this technology is the first that’s made me genuinely excited about sounder tech in quite a few years, learning it/fine tuning/seeing where it will help in tournaments etc, but I see your point and it’s something a lot of people are raising especially in pro bass tours where the guys have their heads glued to the screens, but there’s no doubt It helps find and get more fish in the livewell.
@@PaulMalovFishing thanks for your reply mate. I definitely see how tournament fishing would be more useful for sure. Especially if your paying money to enter it.. hope the old man goes well. Your boat setup is about as good as your gonna get for a renegade. Next thing will be a new motor 😉
Hey James. No worries on the inshore/estuary transom! Have never felt unsafe out there. If it’s That rough, you probably shouldn’t be out there in an open 460 anyway!
@@PaulMalovFishing do you notice any different between a 70hp vs 75hp and does it worth to pay extra for the extra 5hp? I remember you were on a renegade with 75hp. Thanks.
Interesting lot of toys. Questions, love to hear what the top speed is with all the weight and at WOT along with the rpm. With the live well set up, do you have much water spilling out in rough conditions? I seem to recall that config was as it from shop. Is that right? Or was there some mods made with regard to the seal? Finally, tried to see how Alex was fishing the new mussel. Is this a drop n dead stick lure?
Hey Raymond, will try get some numbers for you Saturday morning. No we don’t, the guys at Streaker Marine did a special install and a fix to make sure it was 100% sealed up. I’m not 100% sure on all the materials/seals used, but it wasn’t a stock standard fit up. It’s very much a reaction sinking bite mate from what we have found so far. Get it close to the structure and feel for that tick, because they do belt it on the sink

Thanks Alf, first time I’ve been genuinely excited by boat tech in a while!
Great video mate!! 👏
Awesome mate, looks like the perfect set up.
Just needs a 115 on the back mate 😁
Love fishing out of this craft, and now it’s more betterrer
Good stuff Paul! Awesome looking tech 🔥
Thanks Tommy!

Thanks Martin! The outlaw are a great hull too! Think we’re going to hit the Yarra on Saturday with dad
Just ordered myself one of these! Keen as! Looks unreal 👌🏽
Brilliant all rounder! You’ll love it, congratulations!
Keep the uploads up if you can 😅 Loving the more frequent content!
Haha thanks legend! I’ve gone hard out of the blocks, need to pace myself 🤣
So good Paul, need to get myself some muss’s asap 😍

Nice vid well done, sorry if it’s been asked before but any info on the boat bra/stone protector?
Hey Steve. Sorry for the late one mate. I believe it was done at CoverCraft boat covers in Bayswater in Victoria here.
Very nice 👌🏽 great vid
Thanks buddy!
Wicked upgrades mate, thanks for sharing them. Could I please ask where you purchased the “boat cover” ?
Hey Andrew. CoverCraft in Bayswater did the boat bra/front cover

Thanks Pete! No sorry I don’t, I’d say it’s just a basic switch they carry at Streaker for their installs and they laser engraved it or something

How stable is it at rest? If you walk from side to side does it rock a lot?
Very stable at rest actually! Big beam so not much rocking at rest
