    Good vid Jack, like you said, the Tohatsu motor underrated. I've got the 50 four stroke i've had for 3 years on a 435 Savage Scorpion, heaps of grunt, quite and reliable never had an issue.

    If you want slightly bigger performance you should either try the spitfire 4 blade alloy prop from Mercury , get the same diameter and pitch as your existing prop . It will give you a slightly better top end speed but hole shot and handling will be amazing , just be sure to get the right prop hub kit to suit your motor.
    If you want even better then buy the mercury spitfire X7 stainless steel in the same prop.

    By the way in my opinion the Renegade blade hull is by far the best light weight tinny on the market so you've got yourself a great little rig...enjoy !!!

    Got me thinking about wrap rather than surface restoration of sides. Did you do any surface cleaning on the gunnel and inside ally?
    Good review and nice rig.

    Hey mate. Really great review. Enjoyed it immensely. Some of the purists like me. Lol. Will tell you they are not “oars” Paddles are totally legal so most people carry the paddles. Love to Tohatsu and I Ali have the JBL charge 3. It’s awesome. Cheers mate

    Hi Jack, did you say you were running a 60 hp Tohatsu if so how did you get it plated for insurance purposes, don't get me wrong i know the boat will comfortably run a 60 as I've had several renegades now, just curious!!!!

    Great work Legend, I'm actually looking at getting a new 420 Renegade SC, definitely helped me out with some ideas. Definitely got a Sub from me. Cheers

  • @JBVMarquez
    @JBVMarquez 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did you end up getting more than 45km's from the 60HP at all?
    I have a 420 Dory with a Tohatsu M50D2 3E3 50HP and get 57km's, but I'm upgrading to a brand new 420 Renegade tiller, keeping my Tohatsu. Will be interesting if I get the same speeds as your 60HP.

      I run 70kph in a 4.1 Tinny and 50 Tohatsu. The newer 4 stokes are always a lot slower.

    So your running 29 knots, should be faster. I would be checking engine height. Should swing a 15 inch easily.
