I just returned from Munich on LH 458 serviced to San Francisco on Airbus 350-900. It was the best flight I ever had. I was able to sleep several hours thanks to low noise and comfortable environment.
This is timely for me. I am flying soon on Lufthansa’s A350 from MUC-EWR in Economy. I paid extra for seat 28K, which doesn’t have a seat in front of it. This will be my first 350. I’ve flown on many 787s, which are great if you fly Premium Plus; otherwise you are crushed!
Great video thank you, the 350 seems really nice. Since I live in Munich I usually take the earlier US connecitons by United, I think leaving at 3pm is just too late, especially in winter.
Hi, thanks for sharing this video, I appreciate it. I'll flight from Amsterdam to Washington DC via Munich in an A350 as you did it. Just one question if you may know the answer: I'll be 1 : 45 hours in Munich airport, do you think it is enough time for me to move from one plane (the one I arrive from Amsterdam), maybe change terminal and get on time to my other flight to Washington?
If you arrive on time in Munich on time 1hr 45 mins should be enough time. Connections in Munich are usually quite simple, even if you have to go from Terminal 1 or 2
We have a flight from Athens to Newark via Munich - 75 minutes layover in Munich. Do we need to go through immigration? Would 75 minutes be enough for layover? Thanks.
In terms for the connection time I believe you should be fine for 75 mins, as long as you arrive on time from Athens and are at the same terminal you should be good to go for your flight to Newark! For immigration I’m not entirely sure, this was filmed during Covid and the security was required, now it could be different. But I do recall being times where I wasn’t checked by security, but that was coming from the United States, not flying to it.
Do you happen to recall if it felt claustrophobic because of the lavatories and bulk head directly in front of the row ahead of you. I booked this seat with my daughter in the middle and my husband with more legroom in 28k. I suffer from claustrophobia, but not usually on an aircraft..but watching your video looking down a hall from your seat has me concerned. I understand you are likely not claustrophobic, but since you’ve actually sat in the seat I would be interested in your take on it if you don’t mind? By the way how tall are you?
Over the Atlantic Ocean Europe network it ends up being like this in Star Alliance LH🇩🇪 = OS🇦🇹 = LX = TP = LO = AC🇨🇦 = TK = SK > UA🇺🇲. The same scenario also applies to the Pacific Ocean Star Alliance network SQ = NH🇯🇵 = CA🇨🇳 = BR🇹🇼 =OZ🇰🇷 =AC🇨🇦 = fmr TG🇹🇭 = NZ > UA🇺🇲. Which would explain why you have UA Star Alliance Gold status Global Services on those flights with HON Circle LH🇩🇪 OS🇦🇹 members
Landing on Newark’s 29 is very unusual. The winds must’ve been howling from the west. I once landed on 29 in a 747, which I linked here (warning, poor video quality): th-cam.com/video/dZY-A0hExkc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=y_ZSp6AuNK5rpD6J

I will fly that Route in 2 weeks
Wonderful video! I live in Munich and am soon going to be flying to New York, NY! I am so excited.
The clapping at the end 😅
Nice report and beautiful sceneries captured!
Great video. The wing looks majestic 👏

You should be fine. Munich is the most efficient big airport in Germany I’d say. Everything above one hour is normally fine - even with immigration.
how many people were wearing masks on your flight. great video
Since it was during the pandemic it was required for all passengers. You could take it off when you ate/drank. Thank you for watching the video :)
I see that you reserved 22K at online check-in. Did you still have to pay for the seat? I know you have to pay if you reserve in advance.
I believe that seat selection is free during the online check in process. 22K was fortunately available and not taken

I paid extra for 28K as well! But I am tall, 6’2”. Other than that, I enjoy flying!
