Building the landscape and seeing how it develops looks fun
In their play through, I really liked the semi "collaborative" work in building the communal center board.

I played/learned this last Tuesday, I loved it!
When I saw this at Gencon, I immediately thought of Rise of Augustus!
Poor Zee, after all this time he still doesn't get mentioned in the opening.
Exactly what I thought as well!
On the other hand, he gets mentioned a whole lot in the comments 😉
Just learned this game yesterday and we played with 6 not much down time unless everyone ecos but the group was with 5 new players never played it and 1 person that has played it before of course. Good game the only negative feedback was the graphic on the player cards for the leaves and the animals maybe slightly bigger icons for the animals other than that good game looking to add it to my collection.
The on;y way to fix this is to remove Tom and Sam from the intro and just have Zee only even if the episode only includes Sam and Tom XD

Augustus retheme
Augustus ends way too fast IMO for combos to really be that effective. I also find the theme a total miss. Sure any theme is just window dressing, but this theme did nothing to attract people to want to play the game.
Haha Sam is the only one dressed like an adult...
How is Sam's attire more grownup than Zee's? Both have a ball cap on. Both have a short sleeved, collared shirt. Both have an undershirt matching the color of the overshirt. Is it just that Sam's "black everything" is coordinated, while Zee's tan hat doesn't complement his white shirt with green stripes? It does match his wristwatch, which has a tan band. (Sam isn't wearing a watch.)
