    There are a lot of lever lock tools out there, but are any as versatile or dare I say, as beautiful as this set from GJ Locks? I just had to show this off to you all. gjlocks.co.uk/ thank you to all my subscribers for watching and a special shout out to all the working locksmiths, keep doing a great job! *Edit:* To answer a question I’ve had a few times, I am showing this on my lockpicking channel as I find professional picking tools interesting and I assume that other pickers would also be interested to see these tools regardless on whether you can buy them. Please also bare in mind that I have a mixed audience of amateurs and professionals so I hope this appeals to both audiences.

    This is a nice set. One of the main motivations for me to start making tools all those years ago was the expense of curtain picks, so I made my own.

    What a lovely tool. You can clearly see the craftsmanship and thought that has gone into this kit. Looks a little bulky but that might be because it's on camera. The only thing missing... You picking some locks with it.

    Nice kit but the thumb turn looks a bit large. I prefer the lollipop style of holder for the picking wires. Gives you more surface area to hold it with.

    • @LockNoob
      @LockNoob  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Hi Lock Noob, What a great piece of kit! Too expensive for the Locksport community - perhaps, but as a money earner for Locksmiths, it's a no brainer. As a Locksmith, I'm glad that some Companies restrict the sale of their lockpicking tools to Locksmiths only. It seems only a "short" time ago - before the internet - that lock picking tools were available to Locksmiths only - how times have changed! I guess it was inevitable, and if it didn't happen, I wouldn't be watching these videos - and learning, I might add. Please keep showing these type of tools, even if they are not generally available, I'm sure that everyone that's interested in locks can appreciate the different tools that are out there. Regards, Brian.

    Very nice tools... I presume a hefty price, but well worth it to pro.
    Interesting note, here in California, all that is needed to be a "Registered Locksmith" is to fill out a form, pay a fee, and claim the title.
    Would that make me "Trade"? Doesn't matter, the set is well beyond my needs.

    You putting this video up about a locksmith tool doesn't offend me. I watch videos on expensive cars I will never own, mansions, etc. And this is definitely lock related. Keep up the great videos, and don't worry about the minority who somehow find your review of locksmith tools offensive.

      Locksport tends to shy away from automatise locks, electronic locks, safes, decoding, locks in use and bypass. I tend to avoid those things too... but not entirely, ence why I separate church and state regarding UKLS and my channel. Of course, there is no definitive definition of ‘locksport’, but what I do on my channel is lockpicking

    I agree with you it's almost to good to be true, but it doesn't matter how dedicated you might be we can't purchase the items... if you're not a professional locksmith which I find incredibly unfair we watch all the various videos master the art buy hundreds of pounds worth of locks but are kept with our noses pressed against the shop windows looking in at the Holy grail. Not a very nice way to treat supporter's.

      But plenty of locksmiths watch my channel too. I just want to show what’s ‘out there’ if it’s interesting in the same way i like looking at fast cars I can’t buy. Your support is always appreciated

    What's the point of you showing us something that we can't buy I thought we were supposed to be a family of like minded people who enjoy the challenge of manipulating locks of all types.
    Disappointed!!!!!

      Simply because it’s a really interesting item, or at least I think it’s interesting; and also, while not everyone can buy it, many, many of my professional viewers will be able to - I really want to appeal to all people who are interested in locks and lock picking. I can’t buy a Ferrari, but I sure do like to watch car programs because I find that type of car interesting. My genuine question to you is, do you find these professional tools interesting to see too?
