If I have to keep telling players they trained well I'm throwing my PC out of the window. That was whack. Hope training feedback is a lot better. Or just removed.
SI have honestly surprised me with how much they added. The set piece thing has been an issue for as long as i can remember and ive played champ manager/FM since the 90s. Selling players in 23 has been a real pain (i had a winger valued at 90m but didnt use wingers for my tactic at the time. My club was 5 star rep and had just won the prem, champions league and fa cup the season before) but the best offer i got for him by the end of that summers window was 22m with a possible 15 in add ons, which was just ludicrous. Im glad weve got better options for moving players on.
I'm glad that they've improved the AI on buying and loaning players but I hope that they've also improved AI offers for your best players instead of continuing the awful under valuation that has been on there for a while now
Almost 20 years since LMA Manager and I still prefer there match/graphics engine, don’t get me wrong I prefer the details FM brings but LMA Manager just had a special feel to it.
it’s called good marketing and you are part of that. It’s more or less exactly the same game until next year when it’s the same game with a new graphics engine. We buy a database every year with very minor changes to gameplay.
About FM being ported to a new engine, it's entirely doable. It has been for the last 20 years Spreadsheet Manager™ and there's no reason they cannot move most of the maths over in how it works. They've likely already tested how it would function in Unity engine, and it will MOSTLY be the same as before in how everything works - though the differences will be small, it will put some people off.
I was going through the FM24 improvements today. I didn't find a single one which was mildly interesting. If SI were selling it at half the price of 35-40 euros, it would still be super expensive for what it offers compared to FM23. Will probably go ahead and buy a shared account with 30 other people just to take a quick glimpse, but I'd rather wait to see if FM25 is any better. I'm not buying this Unity overhaul stuff, because the first revision will most likely be ridden with bugs and we'll have to wait months/years before it becomes bug free.
I am really hoping that they add a historical db as a send off to fm24, can you imagine being in the PL as the money starts coming in and EU countries are added in as they happened, Brexit etc. The years would be relevant to FM so a CM 97/98 one, one from around when CM4 came out (when the 2d engine was added, so I could be wrong on that one) and maybe when the 3D engine was added. It is a lot, but I like to dream :)
I think it would be possible to go from 23-25, you can move pokemon from gen 1 to the modern day games. Its quite time consuming and requires a lot of different consoles, but its doable.
So the inverted wing back and the Libero is potentially the best combo since the inverted wing back now mackes a back 3 if there is a counter attack against you, and the Libero makes another man in attack if you are counter attacking
What I believe happened that COVID killed development of new features. The barely got FM23 out on time so everything they had planned for FM23 is in FM24.
100% - no need for fancy graphics. It's not FIFA/PES. I also don't like the idea of players coming out. It's like SI said lets do something to show how woke we are. It's a spreadsheet game and they're trying to bring in human emotions.
Shot from 13:50 seems more like older FIFA than FM, also nice change with ball physics and players movements, finally. But let's be honest, everybody wait for FM 2025 on Unity, at least I'm.
2:59 Is this from the new game or FM23? I was just wondering about the start date. If you can move your FM23 save into FM24, then you should be able to make a save in the early pre-season of 22/23 on FM23 and move it to FM24 unless it's somehow prevented. Is it? The video shows a start date on 27/6/2022, which is the start date of FM23, but there is no option for the 23/24 season. Therefore, I assume the image in the video is from FM23. Am I correct? Or have they extended the database to account also the previous season? Are there start season options? And will they provide a historical database in the next games? I think this could be exciting, i.e. to have real players emerging as youth players and then making their ways into your first team when you start the game e.g. 5 years in the past, but the amount of data is probably too much, at least locally. However, there could be good and reliable online solutions available.
Should have clarified in the video, that screenshot is from FM23. Just demonstrating the different start date possibilities i.e. early pre-season or first game of the season
With the transfers you could do a video series which are like if (club) had a different summer window, where would they end up at the end of the season? etc
Finances a 5 out of 10? But you seemed positive about it. In my mind a 5 out of 10 means it got worse. Also are the future budgets fixed? So taking into account non fixed income? As the projections where always terrible.
I havent play FM for a couple of years now but planing to buy this week I have an idea for the players instructions that is very helpful and not sure if does yet exists. Why can't we give instructions while the players are attacking and these instructions changes while defending automatically
some time ago they announced their plan for FM 24 and FM 25, and I was decided to wait FM 25 because I did not expect big changes in FM 24, and instead I took it because they really improved the game compared to the 23
The transfer system sounds iffy. How are they going to handle the play database? Increased stats and so on. Do you need to have fm 2023 installed so it’s just running the database in the new game?
I still don’t real how “real world” is gonna work. Will all the players have pre arranged deals that means they can’t be touched or can you still buy the players before the move like could I buy regulon before he moves to utd?
Broo I was talking about being able to load your saves from previous fm editions back in fm 2010 era... I might actually move on now and get a fresh fm24 :)
I feel thst they announced fm25 way too early. They could have just announced the using old saves to the new game feature and then keep the unity announcement for next year.
I think you were right. First time i've brought it since 21 and all the hype seemed great. All the usual FM creators said as much too, then i played it and wished I hadnt have bothered. The match engine is definitely better, but the rest of the game has lost it's way for me. Not sure how you guys who play it so often dont get bored with it, but more power to you. Wish i felt the way about it you do.
As a coder myself, I'll assume once you import your FM23 save into FM24 it gets converted, so importing into FM25 wouldn't be a problem then (and probably make the 23 -> 25 move shouldn't be either)
Looks like this could be a really good game, i really like the fact that we can now take charge of the recent transfer window that our clubs have butchered
Thank you Tom for the nice video. I really think that this years changes are very cool so far and thats why I have preorderd the game. I hope that all the new features fit together. If so, then SI did a really great job with FM24.
