@@muttliee suicide is the coward's way out. Any idiot can quite a marathon because he feels like it, but it takes courage to get to the finish line. If you can't do it, it's because you're smarter than you give yourself credit for. I considered the idea myself many times over the years and I can say with absolute certainty that things get better, IF you roll up your sleeves and make it so. Patience and determination are the key to everything. I don't know what your problem is, but I know humans, people, are much more capable than what they think. Only by seeing it through to the very bottom can you begin to rise to the top.

I was told I wasn't depressed by an ex friend of mine because he never saw the cuts that covered most of my body. So when I told him why I was absent from school for around a month he didn't believe that I was in a mental hospital for cutting.... Eventually I said ya know what believe what you want I'm done! Never spoke to him again

I never thought I would ever find a song that basically portrays me, but here I am at almost 2 in the morning bawling my eyes out because I feel this pain constantly day in and day out and usually songs like this just help me feel. Thank you for producing such amazing soul touching music. You have definitely gained a new fan. I've been listening to your music for a while now. I'm 15 and my family doesn't understand anything that I try to tell them. So whenever I'm in a bad state, I'll just start listening to some of your songs, and somehow it just makes me feel better after listening to a few. It sucks to know how many people feel this way, but at the same time it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who feels like this.

@@larryn1348 my story is a bit different than a typical pain and despair thing. I still deal with it and I try to use my pain to help others. Odd, I know, but I while it feels like I'm carrying the weight of the world, I at least wanna do something good. When I was younger, I had a golden opportunity to prevent something bad from happening and I let my anger get the best of me and lost somebody special. That was almost 17 years ago. Since then, I've always tried my hardest to be there for anyone who needed me. Pretty sad when preventing a suicide is as simple as just being a brick wall and listening to somebody bitch about their life. Thing is, not a lot of folks are willing to just sit down, shut up and listen. A lesson I learned the hard way cause that's all I had to do but the stuff I was being told was touching a nerve and I let my anger get the better of me.

"I overthink until I'm sick" honestly same. My anxiety gets the best of me most of the time and it's difficult to deal with especially when around people or thinking about doing/going somewhere new. I panic until I feel physically and mentally sick. It sucks but I'm try not to cry infront of others just because it's new or I'm way too anxious. I keep fighting but sometimes it feels like there is no end but I know there is and that keeps me going.
I know how this feels. I have been in the exact same boat. People tell me to keep going, that it will get better. I don't know if it ever will get better, but I hope you can get feeling better, and feel aright.

These lyrics resonate more than I thought they would. When you’re tired of telling people that your fine because they think your just in a mood all the time it can drain you to the point where breathing is a struggle with that dread feeling inside. Panic attack without the hyperventilating so to speak, that feeling is worse than anything else and I wish I was strong enough to say the words in this song out loud. Then maybe they would realise it’s not a mood, it’s an issue.
I know that probably no one will see this, but this band will describe what I'm going through so much so that this is an escape for me. I have been under the weight of my world for so long. My mom, and grandparents are my only family and they are so sick. I lost my dog, she was my bestfriend and we did everything together. I have PTSD from how we lost her and I havent been able to find a reason to continue on anymore. Me and the entire division, when we get web access, this is one of those things we think about, the "can we still do this" as we finally read the hundreds of messages from our wives, our parents, our friends. And we find in each other that those messages are what we wanna go home to, fight through every day to see those people that remind us we got something to go back to. So a big thanks to CS for the music y'all continue to put out.

This song is really my life at the moment. Many people lost due to some drugs and such. I feel their weight on my shoulders and the rest of this burning hole also called planet. It's been a very hard period in my life. Due to some circumstances in my past I can't cry anymore and I wish sometimes I still could. So, my boyfriend who is a huge fan of Citizen Soldier decided to have me listen to this song, saying that he thought I would like it. I wound up crying my eyes out the moment I heard it, and it takes a LOT to move me to tears. He asked me why I was crying and if I was okay. I said to him 'I feel like this just about every day of my life, and it's amazing to finally hear a song that validates how much emotional pain someone can and is willing to go through.'

This song helped me get through my first anxiety attack a few months ago. I had been under so much stress that has built up over this past year and the only things that have helped was the music that you make and that I’ve had one person here for me the whole time even though he’s half an hour away from where I live. I tried to tell my dad about the anxiety attack but he just said that I just spooked myself somehow even though at least 3 or 4 adults at my school told me it was an anxiety attack. The one person that I talk to all the time has helped me stay happy since then and I don’t know what I’d do without him if he were to turn his back on me because I’ve told him so much and I don’t think I’ve even told my best friend about half the things I’ve told him.

When I saw the title I was like "oh neat" but as I listened this song nearly brought me to tears. It must suck feeling like your on the edge and no one notices or cares especially when your in the music industry. All everyone really cares about Is the music no one thinks of the artists who write these songs and what really goes on backstage or at home or on tour. All the documentrys we see always show the happy side of artists. I feel like if EVERYONE and i mean EVERYONE around the world heard this it could really bring to light the problems a lot of artists struggle with. Telling us there struggling. Its not our happiness that matters it's yours. If you love what you do for a living and you love the thrill of what your making then your in the right place. If you can't do it, it's because you're smarter than you give yourself credit for. I considered the idea myself many times over the years and I can say with absolute certainty that things get better, IF you roll up your sleeves and make it so. Patience and determination are the key to everything. I don't know what your problem is, but I know humans, people, are much more capable than what they think. Only by seeing it through to the very bottom can you begin to rise to the top.

I was told I wasn't depressed by an ex friend of mine because he never saw the cuts that covered most of my body. So when I told him why I was absent from school for around a month he didn't believe that I was in a mental hospital for cutting.... Eventually I said ya know what believe what you want I'm done! Never spoke to him again

@@larryn1348 my story is a bit different than a typical pain and despair thing. I still deal with it and I try to use my pain to help others. Odd, I know, but I while it feels like I'm carrying the weight of the world, I at least wanna do something good. When I was younger, I had a golden opportunity to prevent something bad from happening and I let my anger get the best of me and lost somebody special. That was almost 17 years ago. Since then, I've always tried my hardest to be there for anyone who needed me. Pretty sad when preventing a suicide is as simple as just being a brick wall and listening to somebody bitch about their life. Thing is, not a lot of folks are willing to just sit down, shut up and listen. A lesson I learned the hard way cause that's all I had to do but the stuff I was being told was touching a nerve and I let my anger get the better of me.

"I overthink until I'm sick" honestly same. My anxiety gets the best of me most of the time and it's difficult to deal with especially when around people or thinking about doing/going somewhere new. I panic until I feel physically and mentally sick. It sucks but I'm try not to cry infront of others just because it's new or I'm way too anxious. I keep fighting but sometimes it feels like there is no end but I know there is and that keeps me going.
I know how this feels. I have been in the exact same boat. People tell me to keep going, that it will get better. I don't know if it ever will get better, but I hope you can get feeling better, and feel aright.

These lyrics resonate more than I thought they would. When you’re tired of telling people that your fine because they think your just in a mood all the time it can drain you to the point where breathing is a struggle with that dread feeling inside. Panic attack without the hyperventilating so to speak, that feeling is worse than anything else and I wish I was strong enough to say the words in this song out loud. Then maybe they would realise it’s not a mood, it’s an issue.

I know that probably no one will see this, but this band will describe what I'm going through so much so that this is an escape for me. I have been under the weight of my world for so long. My mom, and grandparents are my only family and they are so sick. I lost my dog, she was my bestfriend and we did everything together. I have PTSD from how we lost her and I havent been able to find a reason to continue on anymore. Life just feels like neverending suffering but because of Citizen Soldier I am able to have a few moments of peace where I can feel like I have a purpose. And we find in each other that those messages are what we wanna go home to, fight through every day to see those people that remind us we got something to go back to. So, my boyfriend who is a huge fan of Citizen Soldier decided to have me listen to this song, saying that he thought I would like it. I wound up crying my eyes out the moment I heard it, and it takes a LOT to move me to tears. He asked me why I was crying and if I was okay. I said to him 'I feel like this just about every day of my life, and it's amazing to finally hear a song that validates how much emotional pain someone can and is willing to go through.'

As you're reading this, I want you to know that no matter where you are in life, God is standing by your side.
This song helped me get through my first anxiety attack a few months ago. I had been under so much stress that has built up over this past year and the only things that have helped was the music that you make and that I’ve had one person here for me the whole time even though he’s half an hour away from where I live. I tried to tell my dad about the anxiety attack but he just said that I just spooked myself somehow even though at least 3 or 4 adults at my school told me it was an anxiety attack. The one person that I talk to all the time has helped me stay happy since then and I don’t know what I’d do without him if he were to turn his back on me because I’ve told him so much and I don’t think I’ve even told my best friend about half the things I’ve told him.

When I saw the title I was like "oh neat" but as I listened this song nearly brought me to tears. It must suck feeling like your on the edge and no one notices or cares especially when your in the music industry. All everyone really cares about Is the music no one thinks of the artists who write these songs and what really goes on backstage or at home or on tour. All the documentrys we see always show the happy side of artists. I feel like if EVERYONE and i mean EVERYONE around the world heard this it could really bring to light the problems a lot of artists struggle with. Telling us there struggling. They want us to be happy but at the same time there not making themselves happy. If everyone in the world heard this maybe just maybe we could bring to light a serious issue with how the music industry works

You make us happy and a lot of times we want to return the favor we just don't know how. When I hear songs like this it really hits home and It puts me In artist shoes. Its not our happiness that matters it's yours. If you love what you do for a living and you love the thrill of what your making then your in the right place. Every artist gets hung up on making us happy making songs that make us want more. They don't think of doing something that'll make them happy. A song they love.
