The most expensive upgrade that finally allowed me to fully enjoy Sim racing was trading in my wife for a girlfriend, who also enjoys Sim racing. Worth every penny.

Fanatec DD, clubsport wheel, clubsport pedals, thrustmaster shifter, cant identify the handbrake tbf, but these are all mid-end products (priced like some of the higher end parts though, I dont understand why somebody whose playing on pc buys into the fanatec ecosystem tbh)

@@JimmyRigs_I’ve got same rig heavily customized though. For the flex just add two legs in the front of the wheel mount. I used two pieces of thin metal and can still get in and out with the seat moving.

And I will say with how powerful the Fanatec DD1 wheel base is I do get some up and down flex on the top plate of the cockpit but only at full force feedback. I do plan on upgrading the cockpit down the road to something a bit more beefy
@@azharhirani You can see the flex in the short clip of him racing. IMO, and as a simucube owner, you should really go for an 8020 aluminum extrusion cockpit if you go direct drive. It has a lot more versatility than other cockpits and actually tend to be cheaper than the heavy duty non 8020 rigs.
Unless he’s got an absolutely insane pc, all of that together can be had for under $7,000. While pretty expensive for the average person, it’s nowhere near the price these things can go up to.
