My absolute favorite part of these reviews is how mellow Tony starts out in the beginning and by the time he gets to the comparison section his passion starts to shine through and the man gets absolutely hyped 😅 thanks for the vid, Tony
I have the original version of these from when chifi was in its nascent infancy. The sound was ridiculously fun and compared well to the A&K / JH Audio collab Michelle which basically cost 2X - 3X the Whizzer. The fatal flaw was the silly shape of the unit and the consequent terrible fitment. It would never stay in the ear. I’ll have to watch the rest of the video now but super excited to see these revived in what appears to be a completely new, now “normal” shell shape. Thanks for reviewing these. I’ve said it before but you’re probably the main reviewer on TH-cam who focuses on lesser known (but no less awesome) brands and products. Love it. Thank you for bringing to light these iems.
Great review. The EA500 was too aggressive in the ear gain region for me and I am 64yrs. young lol. I ended up putting a medium density foam filter inside the red nozzle and putting a Y1 filter on the vent next to the nozzle on the EA500 to tame them enough for my ears.
Nice review on the whizzer HE 10.. I really think itza stunner looking iem..Whizzer does make sharp looking iems..I bought the whizzer bs1 last March of 2022..It was my 1st iem ever, after a tws bender...Sounds great, threw a set of spinfit cp 800s on em...changed the whole dynamic, of the bs1..Whizzer gives ya nice eartips. And goodies, plus a nice looking, nice sounding iem...nice review...
I absolutely love my EA500. It blew me away with how good an iem can sound at this price. I would never have had guessed in a million years that it would cost as little as it does. I grab this honestly more often than I should considering how much cheaper they are compared to my other sets. My only issue with it is the nozzle's angle makes wearing them uncomfortable over time. That is why I have been on the lookout for something that can do the same as the EA500, possibly an upgrade to it, but with a different nozzle so that it may fit better. Perhaps the Whizzer HE10 is not an upgrade, but could fit me well! Also open to any alternatives, because I love this tuning. Also, great video, as always, Akros - you are doing the community an enormous favor with these videos
@@cliffordchan. I did! I would definitely not call them an upgrade. They are still very good, with more sub bass and a very premium feeling packaging, but sound-wise I would say EA500 is at least as good. For an upgrade I would look towards Simgot EA1000
@@guynamedstella thank you that was informative. I should’ve clarified, I wasn’t necessarily looking for an upgrade, more to compliment the EA500. Last thing I want is their sound signature being too similar. But it appears the HE10 is warmer so it may just be added to my collection. Thanks again 🤝
I'm kinda curious and interested about the Megatron dac amp. Can you please review on that thing ? Many people said that Megatron can create an annoying "hissing" Issue with certain iem.
Hi Akros, nice video yes now want the whizzer to complement my ea-500! But i bought the juzears 41t burning it in now, can't wait to hear it!! I want near a totl iem mihht wait till 11-11 for that!!

hello akros, my he01 has just died. i really like the sound signature of it. is this he10 the best replacement for it or is there something better in the market right now? im curious if there is an iem with similar tonality (kinda warm) but maybe has better technicalities than he01. maybe sonus will do? or any recommendation? (at the same or similar price point)
I am sorry to hear that your HE 01 died. The 10 is a good replacement....as is the Tangzu Fudu.....TKZK Ouranos.....JD07 from Fiio All have great bass...warm tonality.....
@@akros9333 ok i’ll look into them. yeah he01 by far is my favorite sound profile of iem regardless the inferior technicalities. thank you for the reply👍
I'm interested to get HE10, but my HE01 is still alive and kicking and it seems getting HE10 while still having HE01 for daily driver is somewhat pointless. Not to mention HE10 is not available in my country yet (IDK why). I think it will be a while until HE10 is available here. Perhaps it'll be available by the time I have to say goodbye to my HE01.
Zeos was saying "and then they occasionally try to kill me".. Anything to that? He complains of sudden extreme sharpness..I would really like to buy these things, having failed, myself, to identify the actual best single dd in the price range..
My friend HE10 is a very good single DD , it's problem is only one.....there are many other also excellent iem in the price bracket. I don't find the HE10 harsh or aggressive....it's detailed.....non sibilant.....yes energetic with some genres , but the extra bass does a excellent job of making it sound musical.
I would not call it bright but then again it depends on what you consider bright. It's got detail, very nice sense of air and space, it's a easy to listen and enjoy iem
@@akros9333 thank you again Sir Akros, and if i can ask one last question (im sorry for asking too much haha), lot of people said that EA500 have agressive treble/hig freq and causing fatigue faster than the other IEM and some of them even said that EA500 is not ideal for night listening. In the video you said that you didn't find EA500 to be a bright sounding or agressive/fatiguing at all, but i do believe that you understand on why they think or feel so and the sector that may cause it. So, between these IEM, does the Whizzer HE10 is a more relaxing sounding and less attacking than EA500? This is a very important point for me before pulling the trigger, i'm not ultra sensitive to bright/sharp sounding, but i just worry that it migh have too much energy/agressive to my ears. Thank you 😊
Akros, those are massive forearms I'm seeing or what... but your ears are probably as delicate as your arms are thick hahaha. I wanted a fun cheap harman tuning to complement my more expensive IEM and dip a toe before buying a more expensive version of the tuning. So I'm gonna pull the trigger on the HE10 for now instead of the Simgot or the cvj Mei. Thanks for the help as usual! Btw I can't help to have your opinion on the new 10th anniversary Penon and, when it comes out, the Aful Performer 8.
@@itsnouseforname actually no! I got the Simgot for one reason: I can mod it easily and it’s well documented and for the shiny metal shell, this was a last minute decision but I don’t regret it. It sounds pretty amazing, I can’t believe that I prefer it to my Aful P5, I even prefer the cable more since it’s lighter and tighter around the ear. But mostly it takes eqing like a champ, it’s pretty unbelievable. And of course the mods for a more permanent “eq”

I think in 2023 people are looking for a well tuned 4 driver iem for 100USD. Not if Kiwi Ears Quartet is the one

Thks for answering my question on the comparison between es500 vs olina 👍🏼
How does the Whizzer compares to the Kiwi ears Quartet? Which is the 100 usd champion?
Excellent review as usual! I'm starting to get FOMO for the EA500, even if I have the oxygen and a modded original Olina. 😅
Awesome review akros 👍
Great review Akros! What iems would you recommend with reference accurate representation for checking music mixes at around $100?

Whats the difference between this and any other good quality single dynamic driver?

Megatron bring much gain with iems, it can cause some distortions, VE have a impedance adapter to control these problems
Exactly...the adaptors help tremendously
Does this displace the TRN ST5 as the new sheriff in town?
