  • This Video simplifies the basic understanding of 4 features/parameters and explains how to verify features functionalities from the traces and field testing.
    - PDSCH Multiplexing with DMRS

    - SRS Transmission Bandwidth Tuning
    *Correction to be considered: The part related to MIB message is related to frontloaded symbol position not to the additional DMRS symbol number.

    Regarding dmrs position parameter maybe just need a bit revision for the explanation (under MIB), but overall is awesome.. Thanks a lot

    Question in SRS section, BSR=0 ... you mean b-SRS OR Buffer Status report OR it means something else?

      Hello, I intended to mention BSRS (b-SRS), but upon review, I discovered a typo in some of the images shared in the videos. If you require further information about this segment, please refer to pages 358 to 363 in '5G NR In bullets' or 3GPP TS 38.211 (SRS Section).

    Adding an additional DMRS also means increasing antenna ports (similar to increasing DMRS lenght) with help of CDM, is that correct?

      Hi, That`s a good and tricky question, actually I went through again 5G NR in Bullets page 214 to 219; as I get to understand increasing the number of DMRS positions will not increase the number of ports as this is only increase the available positions in the time domain, whereas the symbol increase(DMRS Length) indicates the number of symbols occupied by one DMRS Positions which increase the ports + CDM.
      The number of DMRS positions is not equivalent to the number of DMRS symbols. The former indicates the number of available DMRS positions, whereas the latter indicates the number of symbols occupied by one DMRS position.
      • In single-symbol DMRS scenarios, one DMRS position spans one symbol.
      • In dual-symbol DMRS scenarios, one DMRS position spans two symbols.
      *Note: This is as per my understanding, but I advise you also try to read it again from different sources to further confirm our understanding.
