Mini-VidBR: A Night At The Disco (1080p available)

A bit of fun this time - some RvB members requested a POV from a pipebombing drop on them (and even kindly provided their Fraps & comms). RvB took it in their stride and were back out hunting and killing within the hour.

The second drop in the video is on an LOTD gang, some cool chaps who used to live in Syndicate area. Keep an eye out for fleet members deliberately trying to smartbomb each other's drones at the end :P

This is how I found out about Rooks & Kings, during an AU class roam. FC hears there's a pointed sabre, our thrasher fleet warps in, surprise cyno! I couldn't even load grid before I woke up in station (R&K "motivated" me to build a balls-to-the-walls system just for Eve).
Thumbs up gentlemen, everyone in fleet had a good laugh, and FC was kicking himself for not checking the alliance ticker on the sabre ; )

@delboi1978 They are using the carrier to refit to normal guns after smartbombing, so that if another fleet attacks them, they are combat ready and not stuck in faction smartbombing ships. Little details like that make a fleet awesome.

@delboi1978 For the pipebombing they fit to do all damage types, honestly though you never see a R&K Fleet without triage on stand by or already there. plus when your in the middle of 20 smartbombing battleships it doesnt matter what your resistance is its going to hurt.

@jsh1103 well it depends. if you pick one resistance type and buff specifically say em for instance. you can get aprox 1.3-1.4m ehp against em damage (t2 fit + overload)so you would survive for a considerable time baring in mind ur looking at 20bs's doing 48k volley at best, most likely a lot less, you can sustain damage for over 4 minutes. Doing all damage is a different matter ofc. its fun for the enemy tears alone :)

The purple guys have about 20 ships max. They intercept over 200 of the other ships, then use things called smartbombs. which make an explosion around your ship. to kill all 200+ of the ships in 30 seconds

They do, but they only used on type of SB, and overtanked on that resistance.

Because smartbombs aren't the most damaging things. As you can see almost all of the other fleet has ships a lot smaller than RnK's Battleships, and the warp intercept tactic they used can only be used in the lowest security space, where most people fly battleships. This tactic is good, but only if you can find a frigate fleet to use it on

actualy if you look at the end of the vid they pipe bomb a t3 fleet and that one of the most resilient fleet comp out and in the false tower vid they bomb a hurricane fleet so your frigate only comment is wrong
