Exactly. Kudos to Lebron/Kyrie for walking them down, but people want to do this revisionist shit to enhance Lebron and diminish that warriors team. If they got the Wiggins we saw in 2022 on that warriors team either in that finals or any other rematch vs the Cavs/Toronto, warriors win every time. Not to mention all the shit that happened to their starting Center, Iguodala and Green suspension. Again, no sense in discussing spoiled milk, but let’s keep that same mentality when bringing up KD/warriors vs Cavs. Bunch of oh it’s because KD is there…imagine your argument is basically “omg you guys were better than us and if we removed your best player we would have won” The KD warriors hate is basically because they suffered from success. It's completely flawed thinking to say "Warriors weren't gonna beat the Cavs again."
    - They lost in game 7 by 4 points
    - Across the entire series GSW only lost by 4 points(703 - 699)
    - They lost their backup center to injury
    - Draymond was suspended for a game
In addition, the 5 years before these finals(2015-16), we had already seen 2 teams lose in devastating fashion, then return to win in the following year.
    - 2011 Heat vs. Mavs (Lebron 'Frozen One') --> 2012 Heat vs. OKC
    - 2013 Spurs vs. Heat (Ray Allen buzzer beater) --> 2014 Spurs vs. Heat (Largest avg. margin of victory in Finals history)
I am by no means saying Golden state would definitely win, but to say it is impossible is intellectually dishonest and a hypothesis passed off as fact to support these 2 narratives:
    1. KD was not a reason the Warriors won 2 championships, he was THE reason. Despite the fact that the Warriors have now won before and after KD.
    2. Lebron is so great because he would have had more championships otherwise. This is ultimately the narrative which Lebron pundits want to saturate in the public sphere.
Lebron is good enough to be judged by what he has done, not by what he theoretically could have done.
    - Could Lebron have won more if KD hadn't gone to the Warriors? Possibly.
    - Could Jordan have won more if he hadn't played baseball? Possibly.
    - Could the Warriors have won if Draymond hadn't been suspended? Possibly.
To say 'the Warriors definitely weren't winning' is a weak assumption not supported by historical evidence nor by the series data itself; ultimately designed to push narratives which are self-serving.

Unc, that laker year when kareem got traded (which the bucks wanted and not kareems decision) wasnt a super team. Magic was still a rookie and kareem even missed crucial games on that finals.
Real fans arent mad when the team who won a championship was BUILT ORGANICALLY EITHER THRU DRAFT OR TRADED BY THE MANAGEMENT AND NOT ORCHESTRATED BY THE SUPERSTARS THEMSELVES TO JOIN EACH OTHER. That 2011 Heat was a superteam with a stacked bench players and the following year they got Ray Allen. Even NBA former and current NBA players said that what Lebron did was a weak move. What KD did was a residue on what lebron did. KD would have not done that if Lebron did not started that superteam.
Real basketball fans praises a team who wins even if thats not the team they are rooting for...BECAUSE THAT TEAM NEVER CHEATED THE GAME.
BOTH LEBRON AND KD RING CHASED...BASKETBALL HOF's SAID THIS. WHY THE 2007 CELTICS ISNT REALLY A SUPERTEAM? BECAUSE ALL OF THOSE 3 PLAYERS WHERE AT THEIR 30+s AGE WHEN THEY JOINED TOGETHER AND THEY ONLY WON ONCE.
