I don't care if you like Creed or not. Hell, I don't even care if you like the song or not. That was an amazing performance! Raw energy, passion, and youth are a powerful thing to behold in live music.
I can’t believe how great the quality is for a camcorder in 1997. And the lighting. Beautiful. So lucky the people back in the day got footage. Now everyone does and it ruins it.
The end riff shows how unique Mark really is even at his beginning. Don’t really know of anyone playing anything like that back then. He seemed to take bits and pieces of all guitarists and make his own style. My favorite guitarist of all time.
Creed did small venues late in 1997 and early 1998 at bars, usually University and College towns. They then started to hit the big venues. I was so fortunate to see them at the Crowbar on March 4, 1998 at Penn State University! The nightclub held 150 people and was packed. Unbelievable what a showcase. One of my favorite concerts. Scott hit all the notes and rocked the house. The venue looked exactly like this video! Such an amazing performance!
I can't believe there are humans on this earth that hasn't seen this gem of a video. So much raw emotion and passion from both Creed and the amazing crowd.
Whats incredible is what Mark Tremonti has done with his musical career! Throughout all these years and three different bands he's still putting out awesome music. His three solo albums are great and it looks like another Alterbridge record is in the works!
4 top 10 hits, 2 albums hit number1, 3 grammy noms, 1 grammy win, 4 ama wins and first 3 albums hit at least 6x platinum with human clay hitty 11x... i dont think that counts as underrated...
Very true. I like watching and herring them live more than the records. But I can they haven't played this one very much at this time, cuz he sang it much different than he usually did.
Hey. I kept trying to comment on your comment, but I keep coming back to see its gone. Can you get back to me to tell me my comment finally went threw?
From 1997 through 2005 I'd probably seen concerts from at least 100 different bands/singers that were on the radio. Creed fucking rocked in their live performances their first couple years. . By the tour for the 3rd album though, Stapp's pretentiousness really dragged it down.
I saw them on their reunion tour in 2009. Had pit tickets, on the floor and was front row. Completely worth it. The band was spot on and Scott absolutely owned the stage with a powerful voice. It's sad that he still struggled later on because that tour seemed like they had a renewed spirit. Glad he seems much better and healthy now.
For the most part, I agree. I was a huge Creed fan and I still love the first three albums. I even have Scott's first solo album and the first Alter Bridge album. Still great listens to this day. I don't know about a reunion album though. If you didn't know, but I'm sure you do, they reunited and did a fourth album, "Full Circle" in 2009. I have it as well, but it just doesn't hit like the first three albums did. It was good, but in my opinion, it wasn't as memorable. I can still quote every song and will still listen to the first three albums from opening to closing track without a skip. As for the fourth album, it has some really good songs. But I've never been able to do a full-through listen. I think all the guys are just in different places musically.
We're left with watching great classic bands, luckily most of them are still playing and I go to every one of those concerts I can go to. Megadeth , breaking benjamin korn disturbed and on and on, I'll be at the creed concert! Can't wait.
These rare videos are breathtaking. I hope I speak for many of us fans when I say we also want to see a video of him singing at just the start of his career. Since My Own Prison was released in 1997, maybe something from 1994 or '95?
I saw Creed 4x from 1997 to 1999. The first time I saw them was at Bogarts in Cincinnati in April of '97. The crowd was so amped up to see them. The P.A. played Pearl Jam's "Daughter" while we all waited and the entire crowd sang along. It was a beautiful moment. We were crazy excited to see this new band. I've never seen anything like it before or since. The crowd booed off the first 2 opening bands and threw stuff at them until they ended their sets early out of frustration. Then Creed came out and did an amazing set. Best Creed show out of the 4 I saw. Smaller venue for the first one, then pretty much arenas after that.
The Nimble Ninja All members are in a great place today with each other and they are doing there own things! I just saw Scott last year at Bogart’s in Cincinnati, Ohio 2019! This is very incredible that he could reach this range, I'm aware and sorry he can't anymore.
