My husband gave me...well both of us... a Christmas gift of going to Curacao in February and I've been binge watching sandals in Curacao and so far your videos have been the best and most informative. None of this..."this is what I'm wearing today" or laying on their bed complaining about the soft opening or the zoomed in facial shots or the shots of what they are taking about then their face and back and forth...

Passports! That is our hiccup right now. I am a traveler but my husband is not. He sprung on me that he was ready to travel but wanted a real all-inclusive. He wanted to travel within the month. Then he says, oh.. my passport expired. 🤦🏻♀️ So, now we have to wait (even though we expedited it) and can't even make reservations yet because we want to go ASAP. and he doesn't want to until passport is in hand... so, I totally understand the passport problem.

Hello! With the jet skis service do you have to take a course to ride or do you just pay?
The Jetskis (not part of sandals but through the vendor on the beach) didn’t require a course. Just pay and ride!
This might be a silly question but just for clarity. When you guys say to set aside cash for spa tips or other activities, is this US dollars or must it be the local currency?
Good question! All the resorts we’ve been to accept US currency, so you should be fine to bring that and not exchange anything.
So to enjoy all these things, do you have to make reservations prior to arrival?
You can reserve some things in advance (scuba diving, excursions, candlelight dinners, the spa). For things like dining reservations and the other activities provided by Sandals, you don't reserve until you are on site!

My husband and I are going to royal Caribbean and staying in the over the water villa in 2024. How many months before should we book the flight?
Since you are already booked and have specific dates, I'd recommend booking your flights once they are released. If you book your flights through Sandals, you can book 330 days out!
I've never been to a Sandals (or any all inclusive resort). When it includes airfare, does that mean truly for the price? Or am I misunderstanding that and it means air shuttles or something. The included airfare is really what makes it a good deal for us.

Sometimes it shows room only price and doesn’t show cost with flights until you “select” a flight, if that makes sense. It also shows the cheapest flight first (basic economy) which I would not recommend!

I watched a different vidio that said at the Sandals Grand St Lucian the first 5 or 6 categories of rooms do not include room service is that really true?
Yes! If a room is "Luxury Level" then there is no room service, concierge service, or access to the Club Sandals lounge "Club Level" and "Butler Level" rooms have room service. This is true across all Sandals Resorts!

It's a beautiful resort - very popular! And it has its own private island. You take a boat there to enjoy the island and its own restaurant!
Can anyone tell me about how well these resorts can accommodate food allergies? My husband has some serious food allergies and that is a big factor in our vacations plans
Hi Shelby! Sandals is very accomodating of food allergies! I know someone with a gluten allergy and at each restaurant, the server would discuss what their options were and make sure everything was OK.

What do they do for your birthday at Sandals hotel for your room
Nothing is guaranteed! You can purchase a birthday package if you wish. Sometimes they do a special dessert at a restaurant or put something small in your room!
Did you have any issues getting reservations at the restaurants?
Never had an issue at Antigua, Barbados or Curaçao. Took a while at Grenada to get what we wanted- def recommend Butler service at Grenada otherwise restaurants are very hard to get/you don’t get good times!
Is there an additional Bahamas tax that needs to be paid at the resort, or is it all included in your resort cost at sandals?
All included in the cost!!
Is sandals best for couples only? I have a 20 and 22 year old I wanted to take with us during their spring break to sandals in Jamaica
It technically is couples only, but they don’t check. It really just about having two people in a room… we are “breaking” the couples rule on our next trip.

Do the sandals resorts handle covid testing for returning back to the US?
Yes, they do and it’s included!
If you can't drink alcohol will they substitute your alcohol for something like a massage or excursions? I'm a recovering alcoholic with 15+ years of sobriety and my wife can't drink for medical reasons. I know that alcohol is calculated in the room price. Just hate to throw that money away.
That is a great question and I reached out to Sandals to ask. "Unfortunately, there's no variation in price for customers who decide not to take advantage of aspects of the all-inclusive package."
how much of a tip would you suggest for the butler for 5 nights?
$20-$25 per Butler per day is pretty standard!

Sandals is adult/couples only. Beaches is for families!
Exactly as Courtney said! Sandals is adult and couples only. Beaches is the Sandals equivalent, but for families! Beaches has a kids camp - hours are typically 8 am to 9 pm (although it can vary).
Thankfully, kids are not allowed at Sandals
Are the room service included?
Room service is included in Club Level rooms and Butler level rooms. It's not included in luxury level rooms. Hope that helps!!
Please be prepared for the fact that … staff DO hope for tips. Only one staff member ever refused a tip from us, and he was Management.

Hi Andrew! Sandals is welcoming of all guests. I have booked same sex couples at Sandals before and you shouldn’t have an issues at the resort!
I have read some comments from some same sex couples that they didn’t feel welcomed in Jamaica when they left the resort. Just some comments I read online, but wanted to pass that along.

It really depends on the vibe your are looking for at the resort!
Barbados is a little livelier while Antigua is more on the quiet/romantic side.
Better/more restaurants in Barbados, Antigua has a better sunset from the beach.

Just got back from sandals negril.....those drinks are so watered down
That is very surprising! We are at Sandals Grenada now (4th Sandals) and haven’t found that to be the case. Don’t forget it’s an all exclusive- you can say make me x drink and put an extra shot in it!
