The Alfa Romeo 916 Spider 3.0 24v V6 is a very rare sight on the roads these days. In V6 form it's even rarer still with fewer than 150 on the UK roads today. This example has just 40,000 miles and is in our family collection. Values of these are only going up. #backroadhero

Thank You , brings back memories of cleaning and polishing my Busso engine, the downpipes and the fuel rails, then trying to start it!!, having to wait t until everything was fully dry with no residue to get it going. Great review sir.

Ooh lovely, great car, great engine - what a shame to be selling it - mine isn't going anywhere. I've owned nine since 2015 and it has been so solid & reliable - needs a louder exhaust to be fully appreciated though! ;0)

Thank you I enjoyed your review of the 916 Spider which is indeed a rare car these days 🙏. I've owned my 1998 TwinSpark Spider since 2002 and while I have hardly driven it since 2012 (when we moved home) it now has 43k miles, it sits proudly in the garage and is a thing of beauty. It will get used more often going forward as the list of house-related jobs gets smaller 😀👍

Just bought my second 916 Spider - a Zoe yellow twin spark. The twinny is a very fine engine too, only lacking a little of the Busso character. These cars are delightfully analogue in an increasingly digital motoring world. Prices are definitely starting to climb so these are truly sensible Italian classics.

@@Back_Road_Hero I had a Spider as a courtesy car from Kane of Comber while my Punto was being serviced back in 1996 (?). Fell in love immediately. It was the car I promised myself.
