Hitch mounted Engine Hoist Thanks @Puddin’s Fab Shop for the Idea

Watching TH-cam a week or so ago and came across a video of Puddin’sFabShop making one of these. Couldn’t stand it any longer and had to make my own.

Looks like your receiver hitch mount has square tube horizontally under the truck. You could make some slide-in, pin-in arms that would shore up the side-to-side wobble. Such as similar to the support straps a standard engine hoist has. Great vid!

I did mine in the hitch as well , I made a review video about 2 years ago about the hoist but everybody kept asking about my hitch mount instead of the hoist 😜👍🏽 Using the frame only seems logical. It’s a no-brainer if you ask me

Nice but needs to swivel. See what you could come up with using a 4x4 spindle and hub the tapered roller bearing would handle the load. Point the hub down and you could even use the "FREE" "LOCK" setting 👍

I put a good size I bolt on each side in the front of the truck bed for the straps to hook to the bolts go into the frame of my truck I have a 91 S10 4x4

Very nice set up... Do you think the lift could swivel? I want to make the same type of lift... but having the ability to place equipment into and out of the truck.
