Um, Empire Hunts were actually the best progression for the Champion step... I actually just went the 1220 one, and needed to four? full clears and boom!

After comparing the arena you fought the Taken in with the arena in Lake of Shadows, I can tell you that you were below where Lake of Shadows’ final boss takes place. The view to outside is lower than in Lake of Shadows.
The part when you had to kill champions or Guardians you could have done the Ordeal it did the progress faster because of how many Champions there were
Am I the only one that encountered a champion knight in the shrine of oryx ? Killed it and nothing happened it was there while i was looking for the feather.

It did not say you have to do strikes it will give you the most amount of progress you have to do the 1220 or above 1 strike will give 43% complete
