For Crota final stand my team was able to kill the 2nd oversoul. We got the clear but not the triumph. Wonder if that might be a contributing factor as to why so many teams aren't actually getting the triumph completed.
something to note, during Ir Yut, if there are two shriekers on 4/5 or 6/7 the shrieker radar circles don't completely overlap, so you can feasibly check if there are two shriekers on a side. If there is only one circle on a side, you can use the arrow overlayed on the shrieker radar circle to tell if it's top or bottom, and obviously no shrieker circles = 2 wizards
Also note that since shriekers hang in the sky you'll want to check your radar from the top door/room, so that the bottom shriekers will show a downwards arrow. If you check from the bottom you'll always see an upwards arrow.

@@Rozar87025.2 mil is not that much then buddy smh. The sword from crota already does around 1 mil damage. Which means you just made 4 mil damage. Come back when you do 6 a 7 mil damage like me. 5.2 mil 😂. Even newbies make that amount of damage.
Absolutely wild they had a mechanic that involved you using the interact button so frequently in the season where there are a billion elemental drops on the ground to interact with lol
Ir Yut is a fantastic encounter. Better than Crota I believe. It’s tight mechanically and becomes more precarious each phase. That’s what Destiny needs more of.
One tip I do want to add for Crota: our group's biggest struggle was people dying randomly to getting shot by Crota. So I took a Stronghold Titan and kept his aggro and it really saved us a lot of hassle, and didn't cost us much since we were using Lament anyways. Some tips if you want to try that: 1. Crota's sword attack is arc, so you can triple dip into Arc Resist, Melee Resist, and Concussive Dampener. 2. The biggest threat to you is the very occasional time he'll physics launch you into a wall, so be very careful with your positioning. 3. Keeping him near the starting area helps make sure you don't get blasted by boomers when they spawn, but you do need to be careful when turning him around due to the occasional physics launch. 4. While having sources of healing is nice (he'll eventually whittle you down after maybe 80 slams or so), you can also back into the room you start in. If he's close enough, he'll sword lunge through, get stuck in there, and have to teleport out. If he has some distance, he'll back off slowly and start shooting his ranged attack at you. For some reason I was actually able to start natural health regen through being hit by his ranged attack, I think maybe it dealt so little damage that it didn't count towards stopping health regen. So either way, it's a decent source of brief safety if you need to heal, and makes this doable on any Titan subclass. 5. You'll need to coordinate with your team on when to grab ammo each phase, my group usually had me go grab it after killing the boomer knights and when the ogres were spawning, as long as there wasn't a chalice trade happening in easy line of sight of Crota.
My raid team were all busy yesterday, so I was just completing some seasonal stuff, while watching the stream. A different clan member who I’ve never spoken to invited me to his group that was on Crota, and I was thinking that I’m not qualified to do a raid if datto hasn’t completed it yet.
thanks for the guide, our groups strategy for bridge was to send people over one at a time and stall out the chalice by passing back and forth between two people before it was full so not everyone had enlightened and/or died to engulfed in light.
This might be my new favorite raid in D2. It has the fun factor that D1 had but it’s basically Crota the way Bungie originally intended. It takes the ideas behind the original raid and makes them actually work. I love that Ir Yut is a boss. I love that everyone damages Crota. Awesome raid.
Honestly happy that the raid feels more like a raid. Kinda wish a soloable aspect was still available, but at least now it requires more than one active participant (looking at you, RoN)
For Ir Yut, my team used upper and lower left/right for the towers outside and close left/right for the areas right by the initial entrance. Middle was our call for directly above the crota crystal. You can use U/L/C to signify if upper lower or close with L/R/M for sides if you're having trouble remembering where they are in the heat of the moment. We had whoever got enlighten first prioritize the tower wizards as whoever got it last was most likely hiding in the halls under close and middle spots.
Me my clan and a couple of teachers beat the full raid and it was my first complete crota raid, I was super happy and I fully understand it now. It wasn’t that bad pretty proud of myself and I understand the mechanics and encounters well. I had the crota armor already from just the first couple encounters and I got my clan together and some people that gave us leadership through the raid and so happy I cleared the raid finally😊 got good weapons too and the emblem can’t wait til next week to do the raid for the weapons again and get more clears under my belt and practice the raid over and over and master it. Surprisingly easy we two fazed ir ut but the bridge encounter took the longest as my clan mates were pretty confused! Crota wasn’t that hard either.😅 number 1 thing that helped is assign a order of which players will be getting the chalice from eachother and who will dunk the chalice and keep updated on eachother on call outs so you can help guide your teammates to focus on the next step of completing the encounter. Pretty simple raid it may seem complex to inexperienced players. 😅
I recently reinstalled and tried D2 again, last time i played was prob around a year ago and man it's almost unrecognizable as far as the map in orbit and just a lot of small tiny changes that just make it feel so far from what it was like during it's golden age which was imo Forsaken, when they added Bows and new subclass paths (Blade Barrage/Shards of Galanor hunter was the G.O.A.T). I really miss how much fun it was just chilling with friends and playing, trying new strats to perfect our 100k Nightfall runs, going nuts when our newest teammate that just started playing got his Lunafaction boots so we could finally do the Cluster bomb 1 phase Riven fight. SO many memories playing this game, I really wish Bungie wouldn't have sent the game into the microtransaction toilet in the last year or two of its life, I'm really going to miss it and hope one day another game comes along that gives me the same kind of feeling Destiny 1 and 2 did.
Well met, Bungie. I look forward to seeing what they do with Wrath. I imagine it’ll come with the Revenant episode (02), due to that being about the Fanatic (Scorn / Splicers are thematically similar), and since we know the year of TFS will have two dungeons. I do know JB said they aren’t talking about it right now, which is of course fine. All in due time.
My team uses one person on wishender to scout. You literally only have to be on top of stairs to see tower shrieker/witch on left or right side. You just have to sweep the rooms left to right up and down. One tip is aim the wishender where the shrieker spawns, if you don’t see it that means a witch is in there moving around.
The tip about Burning Maul stagger Crota was a good call, had our Tractor Titan do that for the first few phases and it really helped stop Crota from eating our Wells, but didn't seem to at all during final stand, so we then switch to Pyrogale for that.
This is one of the harder videos of yours to understand and I hope you remake it without a lot of the fluff, side comments, randomly placed pieces of advice, and over all make the guide more clear.
My team had a babysitter (me) wearing Stronghold gauntlets and aggro-ing Crota so that Crota was never a factor in causing a wipe. I just blocked his attacks and when damage came up I used burning maul to stunlock Crota for most of the damage phase. Now that contest mode is off, I'm not sure if this step is necessary anymore. However, it is great for positioning the boss away from other enemies to reduce incoming sources of damage and allow for everyone to group together before damage begins.
For bridge, we did the enlightened everyone first, then brought chalice and sword across, to keep sword on the second side, and it worked very well. We also tried bringing chalice back near the end to have two people together as the last ones to cross to help the last guy, but our last guy ended up crossing solo. And I second turrets being very useful during bridge.
Something that our team used was doing very quick Chalice rotations and getting our 3 swords as fast as possible, then we'd run back to spawn and lure Crota to the platform that Ir Yut floats above during her fight. It's a much safer place to set up as you can hide behind the walls and Crota won't move into the hallways. This spot also eliminates the worry from the boomer knights or wizards attacking you during DPS and contributing to breaking wells. Hope this helps!
Technically you can murder all but one boomer knight and it won't spawn anything else. Its what we did and it made transitioning to the next phase for swords significantly easier. We always kept someone as a backup Enlighten in case Crota got lucky and managed to somehow kill our Oversoul player that was doing bonk stun tractor.
Something my fireteam noticed during ir yut is that there are doors inside the rooms that will open when I wizard is inside. We were able to accurately tell when the rooms had a wizard in the far right side using that strategy
trying to study this vid over and over for raid night with my clan and i can never get past "bilge building process" without chuckling, definitely gonna start using that to explain it
Just so you know banner of war is also good for the first and second encounter it sends a pulse of light to see holes and with the blue knights helps heal the teammate whos attacking them
pyrogale gauntlets, consecration and monte carlo was going absolutely INSANE for add clear during Ir Yut. would highly reccommend for titans. plus it is VERY fun

This is so funny to me
You say its impossible without a team that plays together regularly, yet at the same time you just swap teams all the time because you fail to get carried
Have you considered other people just leaving the fireteam, and having to go find another lfg as a result.
@@catra1 Fail to get carried? I dropped 5.2m damage on crota while covering sword duty & helping kill tower knights.
Because most people suck ass at this game. Sad but true
GG y'all did great. Prays for your teammate.
y’all did so well on day one. hope you can get some rest datto
you probably wont see this comment but please never change the raid guide music, this shit is peak nostalgia and we love it
LETS GO NEW DATTO RAID GUIDE!!!!!!!!
Ir Yut is a fantastic encounter. Better than Crota I believe.
It’s tight mechanically and becomes more precarious each phase. That’s what Destiny needs more of.
y'all really putting in work, it's appreciated!
Thanks Mr. Datto! You are the hero Destiny never deserved but, luckily got.
If you lose the chalice, it will respawn at the last preservation spot in general, I think. Thats how it is in Abyss and for the Bridge.
One tip I do want to add for Crota: our group's biggest struggle was people dying randomly to getting shot by Crota. So I took a Stronghold Titan and kept his aggro and it really saved us a lot of hassle, and didn't cost us much since we were using Lament anyways. Some tips if you want to try that:
Finally, my license to attempt the raid has arrived
My raid team were all busy yesterday, so I was just completing some seasonal stuff, while watching the stream. A different clan member who I’ve never spoken to invited me to his group that was on Crota, and I was thinking that I’m not qualified to do a raid if datto hasn’t completed it yet.
My favorite raid guide music is back
Banger of a reprisal
thanks for the guide, our groups strategy for bridge was to send people over one at a time and stall out the chalice by passing back and forth between two people before it was full so not everyone had enlightened and/or died to engulfed in light.
Thank you for working hard on this to get it out so quick! Sleep well king
Honestly happy that the raid feels more like a raid. Kinda wish a soloable aspect was still available, but at least now it requires more than one active participant (looking at you, RoN)
datto the saint of putting out these raid videos asap
I'll never do this but happy to support
Crota wasn’t that hard either.😅 number 1 thing
that helped is assign a order of which players will be getting the chalice from eachother and who will dunk the chalice and keep updated on eachother on call outs so you can help guide your teammates to focus on the next step of completing the encounter.
Lords knows I have been waiting for this guide just to hear the music again
Thank you for such a detailed break down! Appreciate you and your teams hard work!
Datto's Back. Nice concise quick guide. I'm sure there will be more starts to add as time goes.
Man, this one's been pretty hard, me n my squad are stuck at Yut. Hopefully we can get it done.
So the chalice mechanic is quite a bit like Skolas and the poison in D1
Bet you can still block the kill with a sword 🤣 which made Skolas solo-able
@@callmeshaggy5166 Oh god I remember trying that out... Did they ever fix it?
Thanks so much for the guide, Datto--I was gutted for you when your internet went poof during the race yesterday. :(
Cool to see Tractor putting in work.
Let’s be honest. You could have done this raid 50 times before Datto makes a video, but you’ll still come here for the nostalgic music 😂
Can't believe they gave the guy from Dares of Eternity his own raid
This is one of the harder videos of yours to understand and I hope you remake it without a lot of the fluff, side comments, randomly placed pieces of advice, and over all make the guide more clear.
LFG is going to be like, "Need 5 Warlocks using Well of Radiance and must have Exotic sword"
I missed Datto's raid teaching music, it's so iconic
For bridge, we did the enlightened everyone first, then brought chalice and sword across, to keep sword on the second side, and it worked very well. We also tried bringing chalice back near the end to have two people together as the last ones to cross to help the last guy, but our last guy ended up crossing solo. And I second turrets being very useful during bridge.
Babe wake up raid guide just dropped
The bridge encounter is dizzying to understand. Can’t wait to try it out.
Grats Datto and friends for the clear! gotta sleep now but one more chance before reset lets hope.
Something my fireteam noticed during ir yut is that there are doors inside the rooms that will open when I wizard is inside. We were able to accurately tell when the rooms had a wizard in the far right side using that strategy
Day one we five manned the lamp section and I have to say it was some of the most fun I’ve had in D2 in a while
trying to study this vid over and over for raid night with my clan and i can never get past "bilge building process" without chuckling, definitely gonna start using that to explain it
Great tutorial, i guess the solo nostalgia is gone for good. Ah the good ole days!
Already watched a guide and done the raid. I just like to hear other perspectives, especially dattos.
Always puts a smile on my face to hear this music haha
Just so you know banner of war is also good for the first and second encounter it sends a pulse of light to see holes and with the blue knights helps heal the teammate whos attacking them
pyrogale gauntlets, consecration and monte carlo was going absolutely INSANE for add clear during Ir Yut. would highly reccommend for titans. plus it is VERY fun
I always clear the content without a guide. I'm just here for the music.
I had to work all weekend. Haven’t tried it yet. Can this be Solo’d? It looks harder with more mechanics.
No you need to be able to pass the chalice for a buff, so you cant solo it
@@LimblessAnt Ok. I don’t have a team, so I went back to Destiny 1 for awhile and had some fun with Crota while being Solo. I forgot that my Necrochasm in D1 was Arc. Fun to use.
