Just seen this lads, the basic story of the song is a couple meeting and getting married to start a life together, then Willie goes off to fight for ireland, and is eventually killed in battle, the best thing about irish music in my opinion is the instruments and the stories told, songs are nothing without a story behind it and irish music has 1000s of songs portraying the hardships, and struggles people had to go through for one reason or another.
