Rod didn’t sing this for many years because of the backlash he got for it but it’s a favourite at his concerts since he brought it back x please react to Rod with Sting & Brian Adams All For Love they are all amazing together x

From his first hit song until this one, (DISCO) was 10+ years of his music. "Tonight's the Night" and 50 other songs.

N-Trance did a remix of this that I absolutely love. Always nice to come back to the original though, remember where it began. N-Trance's version was part of Night at the Roxbury, so that might be where you heard the hook before.

You kids would have had a BLAST during the Disco Era!
I'm picturing BJ with the high waist bell slacks and platform shoes hittin' the dance floor. lol
Maggie May was from 1971, and this song came out in 1978 at the beginning of Disco.

Carmine Appice is such a monster drummer. He was/is hugely influental amongst drummers.

Maggie May was released in 1971, and this one was released in 1978. Rod had been front man for different bands and had all kinds of changes, including huge changes in the music industry. They could not have sounded alike - and still have been hits. There are plenty of good artists that didn't make it into the late 70s, and many many more that did not make the jump into MTV videos. Rod survived because he could do lots of things.
