Jango as that character who looks like steven tyler is named, was based on both steven tyler and michael jackson which is why he is moonwalking.
It's a shame they couldn't fit Jango into the live action. Wanted to see the moonwalk 😂
ALSO, the oil bit that Zoro went through was likely referenced to by him being thrown into the well. Don't expect Zoro to be kept out of too many fights, though.
In the East Blue Saga, he's generally treated like Luffy, narratively and kept out of fights because the story would end too quickly. For a much longer time, Luffy is kept out of fights because he's just that strong, and the arcs would end too quickly.
Oda is more interested in the story than he is the fights, so Luffy will be kept from speed running arcs one way or another.
Fun fact: "uso" is Japanese for "liar." His long nose is meant to remind of you Pinocchio for that reason.
Whether or not it was intentional, Luffy is autistic and has a tendency to stim. He does it less in the later chapters/episodes, but earlier on you'll see him do it sometimes.
Usopp is a great character. While others like Luffy, Zoro and eventually Sanji are powerhouse characters. Usopp is just a normal guy with a slingshot. Who has potential to be a great pirate/warrior. Just so you know. Zoro's sense of direction is worst then Luffy's.
