Yay 🎉 I finally managed to get my first A20 heart kill. Did it on the defect using a power spam deck including 2 seeks, biased cognition and panacea. Yes I had to beat the awakened one, but the deck was totally OP. Thanks for helping. I learnt a lot from you ❤
Imo beating A20 is less about skill and more about rolling an OP deck and relics and events. The skill only matters in win rates at A20. E.g. an average player wins 5% and a great player makes wins 50%. My last run was beating the heart with defect without taking a point of damage. It's not because I'm good, it's because I had the ethereal form event and relics which made me ignore all damage lower than 3.
@Gaze73 well definitely. You can't ein every run. But the good guys have a winrate of about 50%. I probably have a winrate of 0.5% 😂 but generally I'm often a bit too lazy to think it through
If good players win 50% and average players win 5% then I would say skill plays a massive part in winning an A20 heart run. Yes you need a lucky roll, but it takes high skill to use that luck efficiently.
I know it's late, but one of my friends brought me to this video cause he heard Baalor mention my name lol. I'm the creator of the Mastery mod and am so happy it's improved people's watching experience!
I think in act 3 you should've considered Watcher's retain 12 block card - having block that you could call upon whenever would've saved a good deal of trouble in Spear And Shield and been a nice beat of death counter, as you weren't struggling for energy anyway, and would work with Corruption too.
Just out of curiosity, why does taking the Sapphire Key help with taking Cursed Key? I may be missing something, does he mean to say you can just not open the chest because you already have the key? Wouldn't that mean you also skip the relic? Seems like a fun challenge to rely on elite and boss fights or the rare treasure room for relics if I'm not misunderstanding.
That's exactly what he means. With the Cursed Key it's usually not worth it to take a random curse for a random relic. Think about it, how often do you rob the beggar? Same thing except the curse might be worse.
@@Khaim.m Thank you very much. That makes sense. I guess I never thought of it that way. I always thought about the potential missed relic that could have helped rather than the curse being a bigger downside on the deck.
> for the way I play that's the important bit 😅do you tend to make big decks? They're much less impactful if they get lost in a big draw pile, and more impactful as the deck gets smaller. Baalor likes consistency, and probably has had too many bad mark of pain experiences to want to take it if there are better options.
I recently started playing this game, got all chars to A6 I think defect A8. The videos helped me understand a lot! Question for anyone, what are easy/hard pool fights? Is there a way to calculate in my pathing which will be easy or hard?
I know he explained easy/ hard in the video. I meant to ask if I get "?" rooms say for the first 3 then is the next combat hard pool or is it still easy as I didn't fight any enemies yet
@@INTROVERTING Take with a grain of salt, but its my understanding you will fight a hard combat, even if the first 3 combats were from ? Rooms. I could be wrong, but fairly sure I'm correct. Best way to test would next time you get a battle in a ? Room. Count when the hard pool encounters start (where its 2 or 3 easy pools until hard)
@@Gaze73 You get that your response is rude, right? I think Baalorlord would appreciate if you kept it cozy in the comments. And for the record, I don't read the little words that appear above enemies when they act, so I didn't know Shelled Parasite's attack was called Suck.
@@Gaze73 While I don't agree with them and think that "how did you not notice" is not particularly rude, telling others to grow a thicker skin to excuse any potential rudeness is morally questionable and implies that you believe even if you did mean it in an unnecessarily rude way, it is okay for you to be so and that it's the other person's fault for caring about being insulted. I feel like the internet has contributed to the idea that being offended is worse than being the offender, which is pretty dissonant from normal moral attitudes (ex: why bullying is shunned). You should have just left it at "what's rude abt it" or, better yet, explained why you didn't mean it in a rude way if you do really care about keeping a positive space positive.
Man, it's been a whole day since we've seen a powerful turn one, good to see one again.
Have you not seen the last run, with murdering act 3 elites on turn 1.

RIP Donu and Deca
In the maw fight I was blown away by the strength reduction. It buffed itself 5 strength and then did a zero damage term 😮

"welcome to full health town, population us !" might be one of the greatest line ever, so silly and yet so devastating, bravo !
Whirlwind does indeed go brrrrr
Okay, at 50:44 I was thinking Bash or Clothesline but didn't realize it worked with Whirlwind (bottled!); that's insane
Only if you play the whirlwind for 2 or more energy.
You are here for 01:16:04
amazing
1:03:08 is not bad either
i am here for the evil laugh >:D
necronomicon and whirlwind is crazy
You know how I got the nickname, the dragon of the west? *Whirlwind intensifies*. Nice video indeed, love the shard.
I never take the shard, I thought it's a meme but I see it makes some broken combos.
Congratulations on getting 2137 points. It's a meme number in Poland for reasons you won't believe.
Please do explain.
It's 2937 actually.
Big shoutout to the modder ❤

That Donu/Deka fight....LOL
Thanks to your channel, I just bought the game on sale. Looking forward to more great content.
I think if mark of pain put the wounds in your discard pile or one and one discard and draw it would be way more palatable.
Makes sense that Ironclad is doing well. It has so many ways to exhaust cards.

What is the mod that gives percentage on card rarities and such? I don't see it listed in the description.
Now that was a true chad clad
if this mastery thing wraps up too fast could do it with the downfall mod too

Challenge idea for the next year ... Make the same exact deck and win with it ! Bonus points if you do this with all of the characters
Skipped act 1 corruption??? What is happening?!?
got it for the heart with a power potion anyway, Baalor can't escape the corruption !
