@@paul-ma3686 They meant it in the sense that if you were fighting the most basic foe imaginable, just a pile of HP that attacks every turn, these cards would be great. But, most enemies in StS have mechanics that can make either of those cards situationally worse. Confused from Snecko makes them expensive. Hexed punishes playing Finnesse. Heart and Time Eater punish card spam and so on. So while there is "no downside" to these cards when you just view them on their own, Slay the Spire's enemies have a lot of ways to make them worse.

I believe it’s in reference to an engineering joke-in a lot of engineering story problems they’ll simplify things to an extreme in order to remain solvable, and a cow that is spherical and in a vacuum is the main one that is memed online
I've got a bone to pick with you Baalor. I had started to ween myself off Slay The Spire after racking up more than 1000 hours on PC and many extra hours on iPad. But after seeing your Packmaster video I've now been lured back in and loving all the new cards the mod brings.
@@robinthefool8960 Packmaster is a Mod in the Steam workshop. It's really good, lots of new card sets to explore. Second for me only to Downfall which is ridiculously good and still growing.
Thanks to you I've finally won a run. I started with the Snecko eye and ended up with a ridiculous Ironclad powers deck that kept doubling my strength and block. In the end I had 7 health but 3 free Heavy Blades doing 300 damage each.
You should upload runs where you lose at or near the end. So far I've only seen winning runs with interesting cards but there's more suspense I think when we're unsure of whether or not you will actually win at the end.
So far there are about 3 videos that showcase losing runs, and they are entertaining as they are surprising. Baalor mentioned in his stream that there may be more losing runs uploaded to TH-cam, but the runs have to be interesting in their own ways.
I honestly think the synergy he eventually got was better, as in it was more unique, and probably less likely to be able to get in the future than wave of the hand + sadistic nature (which you don't need prismatic shard for). He can probably get those two together in another run, if he hasn't done so already. Edit: Although, I did want him to take sadistic nature in the shop too, am a sucker for that card lol

I was just thinking that after image with juggernaut in addition to wave of the hand + sadistic nature would just be so insane, because each time you gain block with after image it procs juggernaut AND wave of the hand, then wave of the hand procs sadistic nature, so you would just see so many numbers flash

Generally, card-generating options only ever provide you with native cards, for instance attack/skill/power potion, but also discovery, white noise/demon blade/(whatever silent equivalent has for a skill whose name I can't remember because it's a useless card). Which usually sucks when paired with prismatic shard because even a white noise on the ironclad will only ever give you ironclad power. To a certain extent it's powerful because some characters (aka clad) have very energy-hungry powers (demon form, barricade, corruption). Shard obly affects card rewards after a fight, not in-combat cards. It would be cool if you could have a prismatic shard equivalent, though, like a potion that would give you any skill or attack or power from any card (or heck, even a discovery equivalent) but that would be really wild
