Hey Esme! I'm really happy for you! Just wanted to say, last week, I did the audition too! I got through first round and second round. Bit shocked as I know I messed up in the dance, but I still got through. Bit shocked tbh! But yeah, I got one of them cards and they said I was for acting only, not parade, which is still good! I'm really surprised I got through. All I'm dong now is waiting! Fingers crossed for you too and I hope you hear something!

But to be honest, I'm even prouder of you going to London alone. Anxiety is not an easy thing to deal with, and I know how traveling alone can seem very scary. You are so strong and brave, and to top it all off, you seem very talented since you got in! You deserve it!

Congratulations! I really hope you’ll enjoy your time as a cast member there. I’m going to audition in Amsterdam next year (since I’m Dutch) and I’m really hoping I’ll pass, except I feel like I don’t really know how (much) I need to prepare. I deal with anxiety myself too, and I never really feel like I’m good enough for anything. I have a bit of dancing experience, but not that much. I’m also not very pretty and I think I’ll totally panic and go blank during the animation round. I’ve also been watching other videos about auditions and disney performers, and when it comes to disney princesses, everyone says you have to have a certain (very strict) height, weight, size, etc. Are they really that strict? And do you have any tips for me? Sorry to bother you with this, I totally get it if you don’t want to talk in more detail about the auditions.
S X Thankyou so much! Honestly I had all these exact same feelings at the start of my auditioning journey and I never thought I could get to where I am now, so please don’t give up! I only know from what I’ve heard but I think they are quite strict on heights, but just go in and enjoy every second! Because they want to see your enthusiasm and how much you love it because that’s what’s important, good luck!xxx

Trust me, I know how you're feeling right now, I won a disney audition like 2 years ago here in Spain and I was so exited for this that I even framed that little card they gave you, sadly they didnt contact me in that 6 months period BUT next week is going to be another audition so im going to give the best of me and show them that I improved!

Coraline Vettel thank you! If you get cut you can go back to the next set of auditions as normal, it’s only if you pass that you have to wait 6 months x
Hey there! This is a pretty late timing to comment😅 ..i have a question, i want to audition when Disney is doing them again, (Disneyland Paris) how can you find the dates and time for the auditions? And of course, CONGLATULATIONS. As a little boy i loved Mickey and i still do so hopefully my dream job to bringing smiles on faces by being mickey, comes true as i put as much effort into it!

Hi! I know I’m really young (11) but being a character preformer is a dream of mine so I was wondering if you audition for a character at Disneyland Paris do you have to know French? Thanks!
Tabby’s world hi lovely! You have to speak English or French so don’t worry! It would be good to know some basic French for when you’re living there of course but it’s not vital that you know French well xxx

Chelsea Fletcher Thankyou! I did wear some but only natural make up, I didn’t wear any to my first audition and I was pretty much the only one not wearing any even though you’re told to avoid wearing it... but I don’t think it matters too much, just whatever you feel comfortable in xxx

They do in America. Not sure about Disneyland Paris but I know that accent training is a thing during character training 😊

Hannah Lowrie Thankyou! It’s been 6 months for me now so I’m auditioning again on Wednesday! Yeah I didn’t wear make up to the first audition but loads of other people did so since then I’ve worn really natural make up so I look a bit more alive 😂 xxx

You have to be 18 to work there, and if you go on the Disneyland Paris careers site they put the dates up on there! X

Hi my name is esme lol
Don't mean to burst your bubble or anything however I'd strongly advise you to not get your hopes up too much about getting a contract. So many people have heard nothing in the last 12 months (myself included) because they just do not have any positions available. Sadly this is the case for the majority of people. Why they do so many auditions when they have no positions though is something I do not have an answer for.
Jack Willis a lot of contracts have been sent out since my audition so I don’t think this is the case! I’m trying to stay positive and just see what happens, even if this isn’t my time I’ll just keep trying and I will get there!
Esme Hill Yes, good for you. Do keep trying because that’s how I got there myself. Perseverance and determination is the key. But about the contracts, what I said in my previous comment has definitely been the case in the last 12 months and it is very unlikely that a lot of contracts have been sent out. They tend to need face more than anything else these days. And anyone else put on the books is purely for backup purposes for just in case they’re needed, which usually they’re not.
