    The fact that this project is never ending, speaks volumes when it comes to content creation. Not to mention, for us old timers (50+ crowd) whom grew up watching DTM races.

    Kalau ada stabilizer depan lagi baik dan handling yg bagus untuk body roll.
    Tiada stabilizer bar depan, patutlah masa di litar kereta ni terangkat2 casis depan masa ambil selekoh.
    Upgrade boss❤

  • @huruaito
    @huruaito ปีที่แล้ว +12

    Unless you're running the driveshaft u-joint at parallel (zero angle, which isn't recommended anyways) then that's one of the contributors to your driveline vibrations, if not the root cause. CV joints turn at a Constant Velocity, while the universal joint does not. A flex disc would dampen some of the vibrations, but skipping through the earlier episodes I don't see a flex disc on the car either.

    I'd look into a whiteline rear sway bar since the stock 209 one fits, will be an even better upgrade. It's really come along, bunch of very clean upgrades overall, love the heat shield and intake additions. Still mad you didn't shout me out for the Coolerworx shifter though! hahah 😂👍

    Superb work! Really have enjoyed this series.
    I built a 540bhp W124 and getting the NVH to an acceptable level was one of the biggest hurdles 👍 interestingly it’s the splines in the outer driveshaft to hub interface that would go - they would snap like carrots. Interested that yours are coping well… (although I’m running 550ft/lbs 😬)

    What a project - one of the most interesting TH-cam builds I’ve seen, and I love the fact that(even as a BMW fan rather than Mercedes) it’s mostly still all newer parts from the same brand, rather than the usual LS/JZ swap, aftermarket off-the-shelf suspension etc. Would rather have this over any ‘new’ car build any day of the week. • @privat3920
    @privat3920 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Well, tastes differ, but in my opinion you have made an American replica. The way to do something similar to a DTM is to take block 2.3 16, rectify it to 2,463 and follow the steps that everyone follows to end up getting 300 hp at 8,000-8,500 rpm with high reliability. It's not much but in a 1,000 kg car it's enough.
    I have an original EVO2 and yes, it is not fast but it is a car born to be prepared to run according to the group A regulations. You can get close to 400 hp if you don't mind rebuilding it every weekend like they did in the DTM.
    Although now it is a car for idiots who pay more than 300,000 for them when a few years ago they could be bought for 10%.
    These are fashions added to human stupidity.
    In my opinion, you would have achieved the same or more and with less money mounting a K24 with a K20 head and a manual gearbox of 6 from BMW. Maybe even less weight in the front. But if you wanted it to be Mercedes, I can understand it

    Now, to really wring out all potential, build an Alfa Romeo 155 Q4 with a NA 24 valve 3.0 V6 "Busso" to keep your 190E on its toes. Supposedly, a prototype did exist, but mating the Q4 system to the V6 was a production headache.

      Thanks on the intake! I had a blast designing it. As someone who's recently put two dozen laps through the car at Lime Rock Park, I can assure you that the W204 brakes drop the anchor without breaking a sweat. I think if this had similar ducting to what I have on my own personal cars, it would actually over-cool the brakes for our track-pads.

    • @fcpeuro
      @fcpeuro  ปีที่แล้ว

      @rubenhaftvani800 is correct! It's a W208 AMG rear bar, as it fits the W201 rear subframe with only the slight bend of a sway bar bracket while also serving as a solid upgrade over stock. The part number for the 208 bar is 2023261165.
      Another age-old forum we used trick that pairs well with this retrofit is to replace the stock end links with the aluminum ones off of a W124 4Matic while you're in there! You'll have to cut the bushing down a bit to fit, but they pair nicely with the rear bar. You can find those by searching DEL-TC2119 on our site!
