I have always loved bats. As a child, I listened to them at night in bed, rustling in and out of the wooden shingles on the front of my bedroom wall. I enjoyed hearing their scratchings and the occasional squeaky noise as they'd awaken for the night's hunt. I once rescued one from one of our cats...he was batting the little bat around on our front porch and I shooed him quickly away and a bit timidly scooped him up so he could get back home. I sat with him until he was able to make it back under the shingles. I remember how soft his little body was! They're amazing creatures!

Oxymoron you do know there are also vampire bats that drink blood and bats can give you rabies if they bit you also I am inherently scared of bats. They scare me probably the vampire films traumatized me who knows
The percentage of catching rabies is very low, but if you are afraid, and live near bats, get vaccinated. Never handle a bat with your bare hands unless you are a wildlife rehabilitation person, they have the training and they are vaccinated. Hollywood has a lot to answer for instilling fear of bats and other animals. Some of the Microbats are so small they fit easily in the palm of your hand, but with some skilled camera work they can be made to look like monsters. They are the best natural pest controllers on the planet. They mostly eat at night and love mosquitoes and all kinds of other bugs. If you leave them alone they will not bother you. If you see one that is hurt, call a wildlife rescue facility and tell them where the injured bat is - also if you have a cloth or box, cover them up, it reduces their fear (of a predator like a cat or dog). ❤️🦇 Animals are not so very different than humans, they feel pain, fear, they are curious and they have different personalities just like humans. They are still evolving.

Gitali Jetli well I know they can spread disease and some do drink blood but not all of them are the same and any animal can spread disease actually even domesticated animals have been known to make people sick and most of the kinds of bats your talking about are more commonly found in places like Mexico.

Gitali Jetli vampire bats don't drink a lot, they don't drink from people as much as they do cattle, and 1,000 more bats suffer from diseases than humans from the diseases they carry. Plus, most bats eat mosquitos, which are arguably worse at spreading disease and biting people, so I'd take bats anyday, lol

I love bats! Once a bar flew into my room SOMEHOW ( think it was through the window screen bc it had a hole in it ) And we got a plastic tub and then went outside and released it! Bats are such wonderful creatures! 😊😊

Bats are amazing. I really didn't know too much about them, until i met my wife. She has an instant connection with all animals, and even bugs too! They all have their own sweet personalities, and they all play, if you watch closely.

We need more battie carers. This is why I'm contacting my local bat society to build and put up my own bat boxes and make my garden more bat friendly. They offer training as bat monitors too. 💕🦇💕
I want to thank her for being so nice to gods, creatures and for loving bats, so many people hate them because they look a certain way, or they're scared of them I saved a bat once and everyone decided to call me bat freak but I dealt with it. I want to do what she's doing.
